Hi there, so Sandy my two year old mini lop gave birth for the first time 4 days ago to 6 alive and healthy kits. The male has been separated into cage next to her. Ever since she gave birth, she has stopped eating as much and didn't eat anything today. She looks tired and lethargic. The kits are all still alive, and are moving actively although they are not as plump as they should be and I am starting to worry they are not getting fed, and I have not seen her feed them since the first day. I have fed her fresh pellets every day(usually doesn't leave any left but its full now), vegetables and broccoli, hay and even fresh grass. Any advice on what might be happening and if I should bring her into the vet tomorrow? Please help Thank you!

I am not an expert but it sounds like she needs to be taken to the rabbit vet ASAP, given that she is lethargic and that kits are not fed. Hope everybody pulls thru!

Yes, you need to get her to a rabbit savvy vet right away if you haven't already! Now if at all possible. Not only is she at risk, but the babies are too since she won't be feeding them. A rabbit not eating for more that 12-24 is an emergency. For a nursing doe, it's even more critical. She could have low blood calcium from nursing (hypocalcaemia, milk fever), which is extremely serious and could be fatal, or there could be something else going on. But she needs to be seen by a vet immediately.
