my friend meggie has a 2 or 3 year old holland lop buck named mocha. . .he is fixed and lives indoors. he eats pellets, oatmeal, and hay. . .but won't touch veggies of any kind (no joke, they have tried everything. . .he won't touch it). he doesn't eat human food other then what he can sneak. . .which isn't very often. . .

for the past maybe month now, mocha has had the sever runs. . .she gives him his hay and pellets, and he has runny poo. . .she takes the pellets back and gives him oatmeal and he gets better, but the minute he eats pellets it happens again. i asked what kind of food she feeds him, and it isn't a very good kind, so i just informed her today to switch him over to what i feed my buns (purina rabbit chow). . .

he has been to the vet, and had an x-ray done to make sure he doesn't have any kind of blockage. . .the vet put him on baytril, but she isn't getting much into him (he HATES the stuff, and her attempt isn't going very far) as a precaution to any kind of infection that might be happening. . . i told her to switch to my vet and get him back in. . .

anyone have any ideas what could be wrong with him? he is still eating and drinking, and is still active. . . hasn't lost all that much weight. . . or anything. . .he had a stool sample done for parasites and i guess that none were found. . .

i am out of ideas. . . got any i could pass on?

yeah. . . they have. . .

Just curious... What type of pellets does she feed him? Not sure what it is. Just make sure he is drinking and has lots of hay. I'll think bout it and try to figure it out, but sounds tricky. Best of luck to you guys.

i am not sure what kind of food. . . i know it wasn't a very good brand (she told me at one point)

she is switching him to purina rabbit chow . . . starting right now. . .
