Hello Bunny forum! My name is Amera and I’m Cinnamon’s mommy! I’m new to the bunny community and I wanted to join so that I am able to learn more about my bunny Cinnamon and also have a community I can talk to about rabbit stuff. Cinnamon is 5 months old and is a neutered male. I got Cinnamon when he was 2 weeks old and he’s just a breath of fresh air. Cinnamon is a very shy bunny, he is not aggressive and since his neutering he’s been a lot more chill. Cinnamon is a free roam bunny 🐰 (p.s I’ve switched his corner litter box into a large pan he can do 360 degree turns in after learning that those corner pans are too small) 😁 I noticed that he used to do his circle dance around me all the time but he hasn’t done it for weeks and I kind of miss it 😅 I had one question... do rabbits need a playmate? I would love to get another bunny so that Cinnamon can have a companion. Me and Cinnamon had lots of bonding time in the summertime because we would spend lots of times in the yards. But we live in Western Canada and winter is harsh so he went from going outside everyday to not being able to go out at all. I wanted to know if this would cause depression or if there’s something I can do to bond with him more

Welcome! I too am new to the community and am finding a lot of helpful information already.
We live in Chicago so our little guys doesn't get much time out of the house at all, but he has free roam of the house. Even when he is home alone we don't lock his cage.
I find he likes to find his corners of the house and nap throughout the day, since these guys are crepuscular they really have 2 times during the day they are active, early morning and late afternoon or the twilight hours, this is when you should try to give Cinnamon some undivided attention.
We like to keep our little guy thinking so we got him a challenge game on Amazon, inexpensive too $6 or $7, and he loves it!

Welcome! And what a little cutie 🥰.

I have 2 girls, who were rescued a few months ago after being dumped 😠. They were in a terrible condition but are now happy and healthy 😃. They are completely free roam and totally adore one another. It’s basically their house and I’m just there for food and pets when they feel like it. I’m otherwise pretty much ignored 😂. But that’s ok, I can understand why it’s hard for them to trust after what they’ve been through.

I live in a 2 bed apartment in Dubai and the girls don’t go outside at all. I’ve tried to entice them onto the balcony for some fresh air, but they’re not interested 🤷🏼‍♀️. I think it may be a bit too noisy for them perhaps.

I am happy that they have one another, they’re like a little married couple. They spend a lot of time snuggling, grooming and playing together, but also like their own space too. They sleep on opposite sides of my bed during the day haha. It also makes me feel more comfortable when I go out or if I travel away, knowing that they can keep each other entertained.

They were already bonded when I adopted them and I’m a relatively new bunny mum (since June) so I’ve never tried bonding bunnies, but from what I’ve read it sounds like it can be challenging at times. That said, there are also many success stories and there’s a huge amount of information, advice and support here.
