Is she eating any of the moist foods you areoffering her? If she is, I wouldn't be too concerned abouther water intake right now.

I also wanted to note the excellent title you used for your thread :)

You'll find you'll get a much better response to your specific problem.

Do you use a bottle or bowl? Bo loves to drinkfrom a bowl but I use a bottle in his cage. He always gets agood drink from the cat and dog waterbowl when he's outplaying.

Someone (Nepo I think) said she adds a bit of vanilla extract to her bunny's water.

You're right Bo :D. I add a drop ofvanillato a 32 oz bottle of water. I was going to say itearlier but I wasn't logged in and I didn't know my password. Youshould try it I think it really makes bunnies drink more water.:)

Yes, that is true as far as my experienceshows. It appears the vanilla odor in the urine and poops isunattractive to flies reducing the probability of fly strike andthe taste encourages most rabbits to drink more, which is a good thing.

Doesn't matter if the vanilla is real or artificial, other than thedifference in price, nor is the alcohol content in the drop or so usedof any significant importance. Measurement is not all thatcritical either. I just pour it untilI note an everso slight change in color, probablyabout a teaspoon or so perthe gallonjug I use to mix the concoction.

The first time I was going to try vanilla I spent a lot of timetrying to figure out how much to put in a 32 oz bottle. :p

Bo is inside, but with kids running in and outall the time, we get flies in the warm months. I guess I amgoing to try this just for good measure. Plus, I lovespoiling Bo with yummy things! :D

See if you notice fewer critters landing on thepoops or hovering over the litter box. I seem to notice lessaround our hutches than before the use of vanilla. Not atotal elimination, mind you, but a significant reduction.

The ability to encourage drinking would be enough reason in and ofitself for me to use it, much as you imply in your post, Bo B Bunny.
