Losing fur

First of all hi everyody, I've posted and introduction but hi anyway .

Basically my rabbit has lost some fur on his back, he has medium length fur really, but underneath there is some really short fur underneath.

Well, a picture isworth 1000 words so here it is

Do you think its something to be concerned about? Its only really happend over the past 2 or 3 days, he was 7 this year and it has been boiling over here recently. Any ideas welcomed!

The short fur is new growth. It's hard to tell from the photo, but it doesn't appear to be a normal molt pattern (is he loosing fur all over, or just that one spot).

The fur loss could have been due to an injury or mites, but looks to be growing back fine.

If he's starting to loose fur all over, then he's probably just moulting from the heat.
