Well, looking at radar just now, I realize that Leaf has been getting pounded by weather again. We've had a rough week but tonight was pretty tough in my neighborhood. There are trees, sheds, buildings down.... someone was hurt north of me about 5 miles...... a semi truck turned over also.

Being in a big metal barn with horses and piggies.... with really bad winds..... and lots of rain and hail was not the most fun I've had but the bullseye is still going to apply.

I'm sending Leaf a tshirt also..... we're going to have our own private club. She can get Angoragirl as well I bet.....

You know i could never imagine being in a verybad severestorm,i mean we have our bad storms here in South Australia but nothing like tornado's or any other severe weather,we do get them in other parts of Australia but not my state....i just don't know what i would do,i know it must be terrifying to go through something like that though, and i can only imagine how all the animals would be so scared as well.

Stay safe!

Are you underwater yet? I hear there is a lot of flooding in Central Indiana.

We got those severe thunderstorms last night but nothing lasted too long. The forecast through next Wednesday looks like we will need to be watchful of the weather.

I'm sort of worrying about Leaf - it's been really bad down there and it all came here....

We are doing ok with the water right now but there are some really bad areas in our county alone. South of Indianapolis it's horrible. My niece who goes to IU couldn't return to school (she's in a summer grad program) and had to turn around and come back - the roads are closed.

We were stormed out of the horse show today. My grandparent's and other family members' graves are under water. :(I always go check on them... it always makes me sick. THey are in a beautiful little cemetary by the river, but when the river breaks its banks.......

The dam broke in one area and destroyed one area. My husband's jobsite was near there and he was sent home when they were at 6 inches of rain this morning.

*sigh* It could be worse..... I know. It's just so sad for those people without homes and such now..... I wish I could do something for them.

Glad you guys are doing ok, Pennie. I was thinking of all our members.

I was wondering how Leaf was doing as well- that whole area just keeps getting hammered :?

It's been really rough and I agree - St. Louis and parts of Illinois have been really hit hard. We've had a lot also but it has usually died down a bit by the time it all gets here.

We lost power last night after some heavy storms. Ive been panicking all morning bc its supposed to be so hot today and the poor bunnies would die in here with no fans. Luckily I kept the house shut up and so it stayed pretty cool- power just came back on so we're good to go. It seems like it always goes off on the hottest days of the year.

Haley! I heard that Michigan was getting some of it also! I'm glad you got your power back! That's one of my biggest concerns also - the bunnies! I'm going to freeze some water bottles just incase..... it's just been so bad lately! We didn't get to move Tony outside either.... we couldn't finish setting up his area cause of the weather, then it got stormy and hot..... I hope it cools soon cause he's not going to the fair unless he's had time to adjust for it!

Yeah we just had more tornado warnings out here. I was freaking out because we were driving home from my parents house when the storm really hit. We were right near my dads office so I pulled over and went inside but I was having a panic attack thinking of the bunnies home alone.

Thankfully everyone is ok here though :)

Haley, I saw on the weather channel today that you might have had a bad one and I was thinking about you and hoping you were ok. Glad to hear everyone is ok!

We have one coming now with a tornado watch so I will be getting off here real soon and we're unplugging everything. Hope it's not too bad.

Bad storms here. Windows were shaking lighting and thunder was right above us. Power kept coming and going. Some animals were fine, others we had to keep going around and petting them.

Glad you have power back Haley. That big storm yesterday evening knocked out power toparts oftown and we are without today. It was amazing to watch it coming in though. It was this huge black wall of clouds and then all of the sudden wind and hail.I'm so glad I have a basement.

I moved my rabbits to the basement in the extra large dog crate and hopefully their bonding will survive the stress of moving. Without air conditioning or fans, I expect my upstairs to be pretty uncomfortable today. I must remember to put some water bottles in the freezer for the future.

I talked to my Granny yesterday she said one of the Trees fell on my parents moving van and my dad's truck and in the process knocked out the power for 4 days!!!!

Wow Steph, thats scary!

Kirsten, Im so glad you guys are ok. If you need anything (showers etc) youre welcome to come here. And if its gets too hot and the buns need to come here fora few daysthats ok too :)

Thanks Haley. I just ran home to check on everything. No power but I'm so glad again that we have a basement in this house. It has got to be at least 10 degrees cooler down there than the main floor. My bunnies were still fine together and I'm sure if they knew how hot it was in the bedroom right now, they'd be happy. I think we may all be spending the night down there with them.

Wednesday at 11 p.m. is the current estimate for the return of power:(
