Ok... for the past few hours, every once in a while Truffle will run towards me and just... flop over. He flops so hard he nearly completely rolls over. It scares the bejesus out of me every time. Is this normal? o_O

Yes, totally normal behaviour! I have a standing cage with a metal bottom, and sometimes my bunny flops down so hard and so suddenly it'll make quite the noise! Like Apebull says, it just means they are very relaxed and comfortable in your company, and if he's doing it right next to you, he might also want a certain type of petting heehee. I think, the harder they flop, the happier they are xD

I don't know...if he's flopping so hard that he's rolling over I'd have to query that behaviour... BUT as long as you don't see anything else abnormal and he's eating, drinking, playing like a normal bunny I'd pretty much not worry on him.

I love the bunny flop! Mine will make to their back and then roll back again like they are scared to roll all the way over. It just means they are happy, comfortable and relaxed. Once you know they are ok its one of the cutest things they do :)
