I always found it interesting that rabbits have two uterine horns rather than one uterus like we have. And they can give birth to the babies in one horn but then if something goes wrong or it'sa stressful situation they can stop the labour and give birth to the babies in the other horn later. That's what I've been told anyway.

Actually, the widest jump was 3 m. The highest jump was, as you stated before, just under one meter high (99.5cm). The widest jump record was broken on 12th June 1999, and is held by a rabbit called Yabo, who is owned by Maria B. Jensen. The highest jump record was broken on 28th of June 1997, and is held by a rabbit called Tosen, owned by Tine Hygom. Both were broken at a cattle show in Denmark.

Well, there you go, a few facts. ;)

(everyone probably already konws this but...) I think its pretty neat that Rabbits have sent glands or something under thier chin, and they "chin" in order to smeel it or to mark it, or thats what I read on the internet anyways! :p

This is a cool thread, as long as people arent going to get teased or lectured because they didnt have thier facts right. :)

I thought that was cool too until I saw my rabbit throw up... now I'm inclined to disagree with that statement.
As far as I'm aware, they don't have a gag reflex, so its not vomit as we get it, but I believe that they can 'ooze' as someone on here put it before. It's also possible they could cough something up form their throat.

I find this one interesting too. Explains why Sandy had some one day and some another.

It is a good thread. I doubt anyone on here would tease someone about their facts, but people might get corrected, and as long as it's done in the right way, there's nothing wrong with that.

Rabbits are good swimmers

And some routine ones that we all know

Their teeth grow continuously

Rabbits 'recycle' their food

Rabbits thump both back legs at the same time

Here's one I find kinda horrifying. Not only does pregnancy only last four weeks, but they are most willing to breed for seventy-two hours after kindling (giving birth) and are capable of having a litter every four weeks! That is an incredible amount of babies! *shivers*

I never knew they were only pregnant 4 weeks, I always thought it was 6.

Nope-28 to 32 days, usually about day 31 in my experience. Which is a big reason there are so many bunnies in shelters, and why it is so easy for there to be accidental litters, they only take a matter of seconds to "do the deed"!
