I'm a horrible bunny mommy! Hannah seems to havecaught her nail on something. It looks as if the nail is partiallyripped off. She's been grooming it and keeping it clean. I'm not reallysure what to do about it.Here area couple of picsof her paw.

Firstly....don't beat yourself up over this. We've all had it happen at one time or another.

As long as the bleeding has stopped, she should be okay. Keep an eye onit in case of infection, but it will probably heal up on it's ownwithin a few days.

Give her some extra cuddles and a special treat.

S'more ripped her nail off on the carpet and it grew back just fine.

If it is still hanging, you might considerhaving cut off at the vets. In it's current state, it is verypainful for the rabbit. You can also cut it off withsnippers. Apply pressure with a towel until it stopsbleeding. It may appear to be a lot of blood - butdon panic, it'll be fine :)

It was still hanging, so I went ahead andsnipped it off. There really wasn't a lot of blood. She was such a goodgirl! She just laid therein my arms like a baby and let meclip all of her nails without a problem. She got an extra craisin as atreat.

be sure to get styptic powder so you can apply it to the bleeding nail or in your case a bleeding finger.
