I am insane.. seriously.

Yanno we had 2 die, Rocky and Rico, but neither of their illnesses started with sneezes.

It is 31 here tonight, the wind chill is putting it in the teens. All the buns are in a heated barn, but we give them a bit of hay to nest in, cause the cages are metal, and the barn is metal...

So I go in to feed, and one of my Cali's has pushed all her hay up against the door and into her feeder. and shes crammed against the back of the cage. So I have to push it into her to get the door open. As soon as the hay hits her face, she sneezes. I immediately picked her up and am checking her nose for schmuck. A tiny bit, so I check paws... nothing.. clean... so I monitor her by herself for an hour... nothing.. another 2 hours... nothing... no paw discoloration or matting. She is sitting there looking at me like *Woman, let me out of this carrier, NOW!* So I stick her back in her cage...nothing... so I keep going out there checking on her through the window, in the cold, in my jammies, shes sleeping...

I am paranoid... ain't I?

And yes, she's eating ...and no she ain't never sneezed before... it was an instantaneous hay pushing contact thing.. im just shell shocked.

I feel like an idiot..

I know how it feels to be paranoid, especially when you lose a bunny through health problems and it just makes you worry about the rest of the bunnies.

I lost my bunny Pippithrough EC,and now i'm terrified that one of my other bunnies will get it.....i'm a terrible worrier......i may not ever have that problem again, but since it's contagious...i'm worried...actually i'm really veryscared to face EC again.

So yeah,i know what it feels like to be paranoid

I think your the Pippi thread I had been following..

It hurts... it prolly always will hurt... but, it will make us wiser and more determined, so at least some good came of our dear buns passing.

Hugs.

Yeah that's my Pippi

But your right,it does hurt real bad,and it's when you see your bunny go through something awful...it changes you...and it does make one very wise.

Oh and your not an idiot...you just worry about your bunnies...because of what you went through with the others

Zin, I know exactly what you mean. I also know that it happens in a lot of circumstances!

Right now, I'm terrified of driving. After that lady cut me off, I'm afraid everyone is going to and I'll not see them too.

When I was in a bad wreck where my airbags deployed and I got bruised and burned from them along with some neck injury - I didn't want to drive for a long time. My kids were in private school so we didn't have buses and I had other people take them for awhile.....

Anyhow, my point is, it's fresh in the memory and it's something you don't want to go through again. That's not paranoid, that's just survival instinct. Prevent the pain.
