I'm writing a leaflet to advertise RO (with the aim for people to be able to give them to fellow rabbit owners, or for vets/pet shops to give it out/put them up).

For part of this I am looking for quotes from members on their views of RO. So would anyone who is willing for their words to appear on a leaflet please just put a paragraph or a few sentences about what they think about RO?(if you don't feel comfortable, feel free to PM me).

Also, if I use what you write, will you please say how much info would you like me to put with it? Your country? age? name (only first name obviously)? Screen name? Or nothing? anything is fine, let me know :)

I'm looking for a wide variety of people, young, less young, male, female, pet owners, breeders, etc.

Thanks very much in advance :)

Oh that is so great of you! I suck so bad at sounding notsodumb, so I will leave the quotes to the more intelligent people. I just had to pop in and say I liked the idea.

It doesn't have to sound clever, or intelligent, just be how you genuinely feel :) But only write something if you want, you don't have to (and if no one replies, I'll just make stuff up, I got good at that doing my dissertation, lol).

It's just a slightly different way of promoting the site. I've written the leaflet already, I find it really quick and easy to knock something like this up. Now I just need the finishing touches, which is a photoshop person who can help me with some pics and also some quotes :)

Experienced rabbit breeders and pet owners share their helpful hints, knowledge and advice.

Find out how to find a rabbit savvy vet in your area and what to ask them about your rabbit.

Friendly people with similar interests also enjoy off topic conversations.

Best moderators on the internet!! :big wink:

I would love to write something, but I really can't think of a way to describe how I feel about RO. It's like always having someone there for you, whether you want to share heartache or joy, whether you want advice or have some to offer there is a place here for you. And there's all the bunnies to fall in love with too! :D

I love RO, and everyone here. I think RO is very special, it doesn't feel like an internet forum, it feels like a group of friends, it's very personal and welcoming.

If anyone can find a way of saying that properly you're welcome to use it, haha.

If you want to use any of photos feel free.

Everybody's really welcoming and helpful and you can let kids on it because it's not crass or vulgar. you wouldn't believe how many animal forums I've dissed because of that kind of stuff. Super nice, no bad language or anything.

Please only put my age(14).
Good luck!

but..... I can't use a hug!

Ok, I need quotes on how the forum has been helpful to people, how it's helped your rabbits and you with your knowledge and how it's made you a better bunny owner and stuff.

All I can really say is that Ro is like... well... Like some said earlier: It is like a bunch of friends hanging out and chatting.

Because of RO I've become a better owner- I've learned about things like how much to feed them, the proper way to handel them... and just how to all around be a better owner. It's not like it was just a large list of "do"s and "Dont"s, either. I look around, pick up a thing or two here and there, and so far it has really added up. I can tell BunBun is much happier.

Speaking of BunBun, RO is also a great place for the rabbits to talk as well. Yes, it's hard to believe for those who don't know, but the rabbits excape when you are not looking and chat on the computer. ;) The rabbits talk about anything: Their lives to their owners and all the strange things we do. (BunBun still cannot figure out why the humans took this huge tree into the house and dressed it up. =/ It's just illogical! And, why the heck did we put it by her cage? It's pretty and all, but the lights get annoying.)

Well, whatever. xD You can arange anything you want from that speach there and edit it how you like; you can make them into quotes if you want; just sign it "Xila and BunBun"

Oh... Uh... And might want to spell check it if you do decide to use anything from it. xD

I'll have a go...

RO gives you peace of mind as a rabbit owner. Because of this site there are so many more clued-up rabbit mums and dads, which leads to happier, healthier bunnies! You can always get friendly, helpful and reassuring advice no matter how odd your question is. My bunnies also want to say thanks as well, as they now have a massive custom-built cage, a yummy healthy diet and lots of creature comforts to boot!

Don't know if any of that's helpful, feel free to use as you wish, you can use my name (Jen), location and/or my username if you like!

I shudder to think of where Lucy would be if it weren't for RO. I knew nothing about buns when we got Lucy other than that she was adorable. From RO I have learned what to feed and what not to, what to use as bedding and what not to, what to house her in and what not to etc. etc. etc. Know matter what it is, if somebody on the forum doesn't have the answer they will be able to put you in contact with somebody who does. I don't know what I would do without RO, pure and simple it's one big family. Everybody has one thing in common, their love for buns.

If it weren't for RO, Phinn would be living in a tiny hutch outside, eating the wordt food, un-neutered, and Cleo would have been put to sleep.

It changed more than my bunnies life's :)!

:D

It's really good to have all these bunny friends ya know?

We all can talk about how cute a binky is a zillion times and everyone still understands why we're still talking about it. LOL!

The wealth of experience RO members have is impressive. No matter what problem/situation your having there is an RO member who has had the same problem/situation and what they can tell you what they did. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. Its a great place to talk about bunnies with no one thinking you should be under a doctors care.:biggrin2:

I know you got all the quotes already, I just thought this a good opportunity to talk nice about RO ;)

RO really is great. It's really the only place on the internet that I constantly go for information, support, cute pictures ( :biggrin2: ) and simply to talk with people. I'm not all that talkative on the site, but I read oh so many important things.
NIC cages! I never would have thought of those without RO; even though Butter lived in a hutch most of his life, he was in a NIC cage for the last part, and it really was a lot easier and less expresive than trying to haul an expensive petstore hutch in my room. (And less time-consuming than trying to make one myself)
There's so much about good nutrition and facts and behaviour....
When I lived at home, half the sentences I'd say to my mom (concerning Butter) would start with....
"Well, the people on the bunny forum say that....."
It's just been an overal wonderful experience, and I'm so glad to have you guys here!
I've been here for a little over a year now, I think, and I will continue for many years to come :brownbunny

Here's to RO! :toastingbuns
