If everything goes well, I will pick up a doe towards summer or a later time. But at least it will be this year, a small doe will move into my home and I will try to bond her to one of my bucks.

So they will live outdoors together until I move to an apartment.

I need a bit of suggestion, the name need to fit Odin and Toste (Torsten).

My name idea for a doe:
Violet/Viola
Ivy
Iris
Dahlia
Azalea
Zinnia
Poppy

I wouldn't do Violet because I was going to get a cat named Violet, but she didn't like me so I got her brother. Also, "she" turned out to be a "he". We don't want the bad luck to spread.
I have always loved the name Iris and planned on naming my next rabbit that! I think it may suit your rabbit better then it would mine though.
My favorite of all those names are...actually I love all of them. I would need to see a picture of your baby to be able to decide which one suits it best.

It will be a black and tan belgian hare, It’s first later in may I can get pictures. Because the does are stil pregnant. The reason why I’m not sure if it will be in summer or later this year.

But I want to find a name that will suit a cute girl.

A picture from the breeder on how one of her black and tan look like. She have beautiful belgian hares and they are not a common breed in sweden 😊

They are really beautiful and I’m happy I managed to find a breeder. I’m just hoping a doe will be in one of her litters.

I know you are supposed to adopt or take rehomed bunnies, but I just want to take a kit this time and I want to own a belgian hare ☺️

I know how you feel! When I got my lionhead Lincoln he was only four weeks old! (The owner didn’t know what he was doing and told me he was eight weeks old, but in reality he was obviously four weeks) I love him so much! He was so tiny and fluffy. I am so glad I had that experience!!

Such a cutie and a truly fluffy bunbun. I also want to own a long-haired bunny but I don’t want to take care of the fur. So I stick with short-haired bunnies instead.

Odin was my first bunny I got as a kit. Because I couldn’t find any that was rehoming a netherland dwarf but I never regret getting a kit. I love watching them grow and build their own personality. It’s also easier to train, when they are kit. They are a blank paper and haven’t experienced anything bad. Taking a bunny that’s being rehomed is a bit like a lottery on how their personalities are and their experience also shapes them to who they are at that time.

Also I’m not the best people person, so quite many don’t accept me. Because I’m quite shy/introvert when meeting new people. So I end up bouncing around trying to find a bunny which can be quite tiring needing to go to bunny interviews and getting to the places that can be a few hours from my place, to just get denied.

Odin at 8 weeks:

@TheSketchyBunnies, netherland dwarf are really cute bunnies with big personalities. I love their energy and that they always look cute. You just want to drown them with kisses. I’m lucky Odin tolerates to be covered in kisses and he will often give back a kiss. My previous netherland dwarf was also the same .

Netherland dwarf have my heart, but I want to try owning other breeds. So it’s enough with only one netheland dwarf in my family of bunnies 🤣

Beautiful and rare :)
I would wait until you get the baby I think all rabbits have different personalities and you've got some beautiful names there but if you pick up one now it might won't click. When I need to name babies I ask them, what's your name pretty? And keep asking until one just stick to them. Sometimes I name them and then I change it to more suitable, but sometimes you just know this is right name and you feel comfortable with it. If that is her mother in your photo she's a gorgeous gold padded black beauty, but I'd like to know her character as well.

I have a girl I named her Carmen first she's black with interesting vienna marking but then I understood that she's just Bella (Isabella), something really Spanish I can imagine her with a red rose in her ear :)
Carmen was a bit too serious for her, she's extremely fair and caring she grooms her sisters she's like mother for them. She has very thick fur so looks fatter than Carmen should. Bella suits her well.

I have always decided my bunnies name before I get them or on the way to get them. All the names I suggested have different symbolic meaning.

The only name that can be a bit hazy is Poppy. What I think when I hear poppy: Up on a hill A lonely red poppy opening its petals as the first ray of sunlight peeking over the horizon, making the gleaming red become more intensified and vibrant. Symbolizing peace and death 😅

The other names have other meanings and some symbolize friendship, endurance, beauty and so on.

The reason behind my bunnies name have always been what I see them as and what I want them to become. Even though they might not fit the names but I have yet struct wrong. Even the skittish Toste show courage and battle spirit which I wanted him to have, his name is an old nordic name based on Thor :3

That's a very interesting approach :) I actually thought that Poppy would suit that black bun from your photo, but her daughter could be different.
I like your other names too, Ivy really like but in my mind this name is more like flexible very feminine and won't suit black bunny. Very nice name. I would go with Poppy :)
