I recently changed Oreo's diet from 1/4 of Oxbow Adult rabbit pellets to one table spoon of pellets and increased her hay amount. Her poops have gotten larger. Is this normal? I can add pictures if need.

Hi,
this is normal. More hay=more fiber that passes through your rabbits digestive system.
I am concerned about your wording "increased her hay amount"
Rabbits should have an unlimited supply of hay available to them.

Yes! Huge poops are normal when your rabbit has a great diet! I recently changed Theo's diet and asked this same question because I was so worried.

Thank you! What I meant, was that she already had unlimited hay, but when I decreased her pellet amount she started eating more hay! :)

You just want to monitor body condition and weight. As long as she maintains a good body condition and doesn't start feeling boney, then I would continue with that diet. It's all about balance. Providing the right amount of protein and nutrients for a healthy weight, and the right amount of fiber for good gut movement.

Okay, thank you! I will make sure to monitor her body weight and condition!
