Please keep us posted. In cases like this I would insist on an X-ray examination.

It is too late, now; but, when I'm giving my rabbits treats and they're all excited, I take my shoes off, first. I figure that they'd suffer less injury from a bare foot than from a shoe.

Ours like to hang out around my feet and collisions are always a possibility; so, I go barefoot around them most of the time.
