I placed an ad on hoobly.com last week and have had four requests for flemish giants from it. Two have already been sold - and I'm talking to the last two people now (one request came in less than half an hour ago).

Funny thing is - no one wants mixed - they want purebred only. (Another reason to do purebreds??).

I listed my pets as $25.

True - so far the two homes I've placed rabbits in were / are pet homes. I do have a list of questions that I ask people ahead of time before I decide whether or not to sell to them.

The woman who came yesterday was getting the rabbit because her husband (on his 4th tour of duty in Iraq) asked her to get them a giant rabbit - she said "no way" - he said - "at least think about it".

So she researched them and decided "maybe" and drove 90 miles one way to see them yesterday. She then called him while looking at supplies at Walmart (she timed the visit so she could call him)...and called me back and let me know which one she wanted.

It was my PRIVILEGE to thank her and her husband for "their" service to this country - by giving her the rabbit for free.

She tried to pay me - but I told her that it was the only way I had to thank them for his time serving our country.

(He also works with border patrol).

Anyway - since I live in a small town - this is one way I can get the word out about my rabbits...

I have put one ad up on hoobly before...never got any responses from it... Maybe it was just because of my area?

I guess I should try again and see what happens, though. ;)

I do have ads up on Craigslist and Kijiji. Need to see if they are still up. :)
