Holland lop or Mini lop?

Hi! I'm a relatively new breeder, and a while ago I got what I though was a Holland lop doe, now I'm not too sure. When I first bred her, around 6 months, she was bigger than my buck, but I know does are generally bigger than bucks. But now I'm trying to breed her again, and she is quite a bit bigger, my buck is having a hard time breeding with her. I was told she was a purebred Holland lop, but next to my buck who is pedigreed, so I know he is a purebred, I'm not so sure. What do you guys think?
My doe (Cinder) is the VM black and my buck (Sebastian) is the black tort

She could be either one. A pet quality holland, a pet quality mini, or a lop cross. I'd be surprised if she was purebred holland, but if she is then she must not bred very well into the holland standard, and probably is a few generations removed from any show breeder. What are you breeding for? If you are breeding for show I'd advise getting a different doe, one that has more of Holland lop traits and isn't vienna marked (vienna marked rabbits are not showable and it is impossible to breed that gene out of a line so show breeders don't like to buy rabbits that are descended from vienna marks)

Thank you, I'm a hobby breeder, so im not too concerned about show quality (color wise at least), I actually really like the Vienna markings, so I probably wont be one. I'm glad to know she could be either one, and that I wasn't necessarily lied to. (That's happened before which ended up costing me a lot of money, for a doe that couldn't breed and had to be put down do to seizures) thank you very much.

Hey, do you know how much she weighs, that could play a key factor in figuring out if she's a mini or holland?

No I don't, and unfortunately I can not weigh her. A night ago the latch on my girls hutch broke and my girls got out, I haven't seen her since. She was a hefty girl though, definitely heavier than my buck.

I'm am so sorry to hear that, who knows, maybe she will turn up out of the blue. Just for an understanding, Holland Lops weigh between 4-6lbs and mini lops usually weigh between 6.5-8lbs.

The correct weight for a Mini Lop is 4.5-6.5 lbs... usually on the larger side of that scale with some large females at around 7 lbs, but not 6.5-8. (Hollands are supposed to be <4 lbs but often are heavier if they don't have the dwarf gene)

Sable Steel, oh sorry, I meant to say 6.5 lbs minimum, but mini lop mixes can be between 6.5-8lbs. Sorry, I should really re-read my replies! And Hollands are supposed to be <4lbs but there are pet quality purebreds that weigh more (which is why I put 4-6lbs). Thank you for correcting my mistake!

That is correct in Hollands. True dwarves are not more than 4 pds; false dwarves are about a pound larger but still Hollands. Just cant show a false dwarf except as a pet.
