help with this little guy

would anyone be able to help me decide what kindof rabbit this is? his markins are a deep brown with black inthe face and some of the body.

Looks to be a Siamese Sable (color/aka variety) Netherland Dwarf (breed).

However, I could be wrong on thevariety as I get confused on the shaded varieties. :?

I agree, Netherland Dwarf, but Pamnock would know if it was a purebred ND

thats what i was thinking was a ND. he is coming into rescue later today. hes a cutie



ok did a little looking up ..... found a few breeders on the web withpictures of their siamese sables i really do thinkthats what he is (variety) he looks identical to alot of thebucks that ive seen pictured.

this little guy is the one that the lady took from her neighbor due toher not taking care of him. i guess he was adoptedfrom a shelter only to be brought home and neglected to thecage. she went a few days ago and asked the neighbor if shecould have him ( to get him out of a cage filled with about 3 inches ofpoo) the lady said she didnt care take him. thenshe contacted me that same day and asked if i could take himin. so fingers crossed he is supposed to be here thisafternoon!

Aww that's so nice! Helets you carry him! My Riku is a really rough one. Shehates it when people tries to carry her. She won't let any of us carryher. The most we can do is stroke and cuddle her, which she enjoysquite a bit.

ok i know this was posted ages ago butguess what!!!?? i finally got him today. he wassupposed to come into rescue ages ago but the owner kept going back andforth on deciding to get rid of him. well the neighbor ladyfinally talked her into releasing him last nite and brought him heretoday woohoo. he sat in a cage over 5 months straight was notlet out to play and cage was not cleaned the entire time!!she had originally adopted him from a humane society and i do know thathe is neutered, and has a micro chip. im gonna do someresearch on the micro chip to see what info i can find out onhim. hes around 2 years old.and such a lovely rabbit. im thinking we may actually keephim as him and our mini rex kitty get along very very well.they have been grooming each other and he stayed up on my lap foralmost a half hour and slept while i petted him and trimmed hisnails. which he so desperatly needed! he wasactually licking my hand woohoo! i really think this is therabbit that we have been waiting to add to our family and maybe thatsthe reason i was not meant to get the little dutch baby that i hadplanned on getting thisweekend. now to get some helpin naming him lol they had called him peter rabbitbut i just really dont like that name lol

any name ideas anyone??

yes you should of seen the waterbottle that came with him. the neighbor who was luckly ableto take him from this woman brought it down to show me. itwas crusted with dried on urine it was soooo gross.i can only imagine what the cage looked like if thats how his waterbottle looked!!! so far ive only had oneissue and dont know what it was about but he had hopped into the litterbox which is outside of the cage and was just sitting inthere i had picked up a few poopsies off the floor and wentto sit them in the box and he lunged at me. luckly didnt bitebut it kinda suprised me. he hasnt done it again since thoughso i guess he must of thought i was invading his space for asecond. he sat up on my cousins littlegirls lap for almost a half hour straight while she pettedhim. didnt even care at all he closed hiseyes and just layed there so peacefully. him and kitty aregetting along so well. i really think shes enjoying havinghim here. they were snuggeling together and grooming eachother.
