Can anyone please help, my rabbit was laying down and I've never noticed her eyes like this before (see image). When I've looked they look normal now but when I checked the bit behind the lid seems seems be like this. Is this normal?

It may be a blocked tear duct. A saline flush for the duct helps as well as antibiotics. Your vet can do this. I'm unsure if you can do it at home. It might help to do some research on the problem before you take him to the vet.

It's the third eyelid. Why it's sticking out so much, could be a normal thing for your rabbit when in a relaxed state. However, if it seems to be protruding excessively or you have any concerns, it's best to consult with your knowledgeable rabbit vet, as a protruding third eyelid can sometimes be an indication of heart issues , when accompanied with other signs of heart problems.

Thank you so much. It seems to have disappeared and she seems OK in herself but will get her checked out just incase.
