Hello,
I love my six-year-old mini-lop more than I've ever loved any pet I've ever had (and I've really loved all my pets!). A few months ago, he started going blind due to cataracts. We took him to the vet, who talked us out of the possibility of cataract removal surgery and said "this is commonplace." Now, he has gone fully blind, and he is a shell of the rabbit that he used to be. He still kisses us and happily clicks his teeth when we're petting him, . . . but he doesn't come out of his cage unless we pull him out of it, and when we put him in our living room to "run around" he goes straight to his blanket and lays down. My question is this . . . does anyone know of any kind of toys that might help him feel a bit of excitement again? I don't want to introduce too much novelty or challenge him too much, but I want him to be happier.
Thanks for any advice in advance.
Emily
