My two female buns got into it earlier while trying to bond. The older one (Salem) is free roamed and the younger one (maple) is 6 weeks old and we have her in a big cage until she is of age to get spayed. They have been fine sniffing each other out through the cage bars and a little bit ago Salem and her got into it and now maple has a cut by her eye. She is hoping and eating fine. Very happy but I’m scared cause I see a little blood and her bottom eye lid lining thing is hanging a little. I know buns don’t show if something is wrong but I know that she is fine cause she is acting her normal self and is playing and chewing. Is there anything I can use to clean her cut since it’s near her eye?

Through the cage bars
Awwwww poor sweety..she's adorable. Maybe call your vet and ask if he thinks it's ok or not to leave it a day or so , so you can see if it improves first. Did you check close to see if her pupil is scratched as well?

I'm not sure what to make of the eye injury. I'll leave others to address that. But I'd suggest you put a secondary barricade between the 2 rabbits so they can't get to each other. That would mean either an ex pen that can be set up a few inches away from the little one's cage wall OR getting a mesh of sorts to prevent direct contact. Otherwise it may happen again and could be worse.

I used a mesh on an ex-pen once when bonding rabbits. You can see the mesh on the bottom portion of the ex-pen:

yes my moms a human nurse so she helped me look at her eye and said it isn’t deep and she should be fine. We whipped the blood with a q tip and are gonna watch her close. Vet is closed so can not call at this time. She’s enjoying some hay right now I just feel so bad he little eye is like this
