I just wanted to say HI to everyone. I've never reached out to an online community before, but ever since bringing Cooper home, I've wanted to learn more and more about rabbits and how to give him the best life a bunny can have! :D

I'm hoping to connect with some of you to build an online bunny friendship :).

Here's how Cooper found his way into our lives:
About 2 1/2 months ago, I was riding my mountain bike in the Huntington Wetlands and happened to see a little white lop ear sitting next to a tree! Thinking he'd certainly be lunch for a coyote, which his little buddy was already gone :(, so sad, I chased (only had to walk -- lol) after him, picked him up, and took him home. Some passersby found another one, still alive, and took that one home. They were all the same color and were lops. I took him to the vet to make sure he was okay. He was sick so we got him medication. I posted on Craigslist looking for the owner for a couple weeks to no avail.

Well, I didn't plan on him becoming such a big part of our family, but my female Cavalier King Charles Spaniel took to him and so did everyone else in our home. Now he runs around the house, sits with us, begs for food with the dog -- I never thought a rabbit could be such a great pet and member of the family!

Dallas wants to do EVERYTHING that Cooper does and eat everything he eats! I wanted to post pics but cannot seem to figure it out :(.

Looking forward to learning more and meeting more bunny parents :big wink:

Have a great weekend y'all!!!

Welcome!!! That's so great that you were able to help this little guy and that he's done so well with your family. It's so cute that he and your dog get along! They look like a perfect match.

Welcome to RO! I'm also in southern California; I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and now I'm in Pomona for vet school. Cooper is very handsome!

welcome to RO! hopefully you'll love it here :). imo, it's one of the best forums around - I also have hamsters and sugar gliders and none of the forums for them have *nearly* the same "community" feel that we do here. I share more about my non-rabbit pets on this forum than I do on the species-specific ones, lol.

I'm so glad you were able to rescue Cooper after some jerk dumped him on the side of the road! he and your dog are both adorable :)

Thank you! He's definitely stole my heart & my Cavalier never knew how to get along & play with other dogs so Cooper is her perfect playmate. He shows off & binkies in front of her too. LOL
Do you have any pics of the lop with airplane ears? I'd love too see!

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on your cute little bunny! He's a gorgeous color!

Should be some of Lilli on our profile page somewhere's as we put in a lot of pics. Not really sure if she's a seal point--her nose has that black patch just like a Californian and she doesn't have the lop head/face which is probably why her ears stick strait out rather than lop. All I know for sure is she's a big bunny with loads of personality.

Welcome!!

My name's Kylie :) I have 4 adorable bunnies, they're all Holland lops :D (my fav breed, I also loveee Lionheads lol)
