I just wanted to say HI to everyone. I've never reached out to an online community before, but ever since bringing Cooper home, I've wanted to learn more and more about rabbits and how to give him the best life a bunny can have!
I'm hoping to connect with some of you to build an online bunny friendship .
Here's how Cooper found his way into our lives:
About 2 1/2 months ago, I was riding my mountain bike in the Huntington Wetlands and happened to see a little white lop ear sitting next to a tree! Thinking he'd certainly be lunch for a coyote, which his little buddy was already gone , so sad, I chased (only had to walk -- lol) after him, picked him up, and took him home. Some passersby found another one, still alive, and took that one home. They were all the same color and were lops. I took him to the vet to make sure he was okay. He was sick so we got him medication. I posted on Craigslist looking for the owner for a couple weeks to no avail.
Well, I didn't plan on him becoming such a big part of our family, but my female Cavalier King Charles Spaniel took to him and so did everyone else in our home. Now he runs around the house, sits with us, begs for food with the dog -- I never thought a rabbit could be such a great pet and member of the family!
Dallas wants to do EVERYTHING that Cooper does and eat everything he eats! I wanted to post pics but cannot seem to figure it out .
Looking forward to learning more and meeting more bunny parents :big wink:
Have a great weekend y'all!!!
