Hi all,
My sister and I both got our first rabbits in April.
They are both blue dutch does, but they came from separate breeders.
Mine's name is Lily and they both are around 16 weeks old.
I have two issues I'd like to ask about.
One: Lily is pretty high strung and I often have a hard time getting her out of her cage.

Two: We tried tried putting them together in the playpen with hopes that they would socialize. Lila (My sisters rabbit) was definitely more dominant over Lily and started a fight between the two.

Any tips from all you seasoned rabbit owners?

You have to give her time to settle in a be comfortable with you. Not all bunnies like to be handled or held and it comes with time, to a degree. Second, any bonding has to be done slowly and in a neutral area. One bunny will always be a dominant however. Not all can be bonded either.

Hi I would suggest getting them fixed when they are old enough? That could really help to bond them.

That is a very cute bunny in your Avitar. Is that Lily?

Susan:)

The Let Your Hare Down section is for anything non-bunny related.

Here is a link tothat will help you and your bunny to connect, How To Bond With Your Bunny.

Now every forum has rules and ours can be found with this link Rabbits Online Forum Rules. This gives guidelines on what is acceptable, what is not and how we hope everyone will treat each other.

Everyone on this forum loves to see pictures of each other’s bunnies. So if you would like to post a picture this link will help you do that, Upload Photo's to Photo Gallery. Then in the post, you click on the "G" in the tool bar to insert your photo. Many people also use Photobucket. You just copy the img file and paste it into the post.
