have you ever left your bunny for a couple days?

don't think I'm stupid for asking this. I know that with cats you can leave several days of food and water out for them when you go away for a couple days and they are just fine. What about for rabbits? They are in a caged area inside the house that is 3.5 ft by 7 ft. I have no family where I live and the only friend I have close by is way to busy to come over and care for them. I posted an ad on care.com for a sitter but I have to pay $35 just to respond to the inquiries to my ad so before I do that I wanted to make sure that they can not be left for a couple days on their own. I will be gone from Wednesday at 10am until Friday at noon.

They will be fine.
Just offer extra water bottles and lots of hay. Make sure theres a top on their enclosure so they cant sneak out.

Yep. My boyfriend and I left Pippi when we went out of state for a couple days and she did fine. She was super thrilled when we got home and let her free ^_^

Yeah, they r normally fine if they have plenty of food and lots of water. U might want to have a neighbor check on them after a day or so, just in case.

If it's hot where you are I wouldn't risk it as they could get heat stroke and drink all there water and have none left. Also rabbits eat all there food at once so your bun wouldn't have much food left by Thursday! I would get a sitter

Yes it can be done as stated, however I personally wouldn't recommend it. Mostly because if a rabbit gets ill, they can decline very quickly. For that reason I get absolutely sick with worry just leaving Bandit alone over one night But yes if you put out lots of extra hay, and extra water it is doable.

If you put all the food out your bun will just eat it all in one go. If they don't eat anything they can die in a matter of hours. I suggest getting a sitter or dropping them off at a bunny hotel.

I would either friend a friend ( if you have any in that area that you can like trust ) or find a vet clinic that would take them in for the time period you will not be in ( usually a charge and you ll have to bring the food ). I have clinic here in town that would take them in for 44 ( for the pair ) a day and a min. of two day(s) ...

its just safe knowing that if anything would happen, that they would have the proper care IMO

even though some said it would be fine my daughter and I would worry too much and they are young so I was lucky to get my son's friend to come over and check on them a couple times a day. She has rabbit experience. They are inside so there's no concern about heat stroke. I'm glad they'll be watched.

It's great to hear that you have someone to check on them, even just for your own peace of mind. We've gone away for a week and had my partner's mother look in on them every second day and change their litter in the middle of the week. We were glad just to have someone telling us how they were getting on and she told us they were super friendly and curious about who was caring for them!
