hi!
i recently rescued another male bunny and i currently have a male
i don't think they'll ever be able to bond but i want them to be used to each other and their smell and presence
how should i go about this
my current male bunny is too old to be fixed (8) and the new one can't be fixed till after quarantine

currently i let them see each other with both in their cages and i put things that smell like the opposite bunny in each enclosure

part of me wonders if a bond is possible
my older male is very curious but so far non aggressive the young one is being a bit aggressive tho
once he's fixed could i try it?

There is no harm in trying. Go for it if you think that it will work.

Just wait until after the younger one's neuter. (well... 6-8 weeks post neuter to allow time for hormones to dissipate)
is it ok that they see each other now
i have my new bunny in the living room but my older bunny misses having free range of both rooms so i put the younger one away but he can be seen by my older bunny

i really hope they can bond so far my older bun is obsessed with him he's binkying and zooming (he rarely binkies) and going up to the younger ones cage and trying to be near him 🥺

Make sure you keep an eye on them if you let them both out! Very possible there could be a fight. I wouldn't say it's impossible to bond them though. Just wait until the young one is fixed like blue eyes said. I bet since the older one is 8 he'll be more forgiving with the younger ones hipper disposition 😉. Lots of Luck (the new lol 🤪)

no worries they're in separate rooms and when they do see each other one or both are in their cages so there's no face to face meeting
