So I was just watching the tv and he’s not too keen on the quiet so I knew that wasn’t the problem but I heard a massive stomp so I had a look over and he looked so scared he wasn’t hopping around he was walking like a cat sneaking on it’s pray but would stay in the same place, I then heard another massive stomp and he had gone into his cage he came back out and now wouldnt move, he looks so scared I’ve never seen him like this. I went down and pet him to try and make him feel safe and gave him a little treat but is still acting really scared of my room?! The only thing I can think of is that I cleaned out his litter box before he got scared but I don’t see how that could make him that scared. Unless I’m wrong and the way he was acting wasn’t being scared and was more angry but to me he seemed like a stray rabbit and something was out to get him. Thinking of it this morning after his morning zoomies he was acting like this but didn’t stomp. He’s never stomped before this is my first time hearing it and it’s very loud I didn’t realise how loud it really was! Do rabbits sometimes get scared? Could it be him telling me he doesn’t feel well? I’m just worried I’ve never seen him so scared! Thank you!

Sounds to me like he is nervous about something. If he was tiffed at you over something, usually they'll give a stomp or foot flick, maybe look over their shoulder at you just to make sure you're seeing their disapproval, then hop away and resume their normal behavior, usually away from you for a short time. My rabbits would often do this after putting them back down after I had picked them up for nail trims and health checks.

Any unusual noises or smells? Cooking oils or meat always seemed to upset a few of my rabbits. And noises as small as a mouse could upset a rabbit, but you may not hear it. I remember one person's rabbit was upset about a spider in their area.

Is he still eating and pooping?
