The levels of absurdity Gideon has reached in his quest for food led me to buy him a Kong. He caught on quickly...

This is a medium-size Kong, meant for dogs about 20 pounds I believe. The pellets would fall out of it very easily, so I put a crumpled piece of paper in there to make it a little harder to get them out. No worries, he only has his Kong under supervision. No GI obstruction emergencies are allowed here. :)

What a great idea! If you don't mind the mess, you could even stuff a little hay or veggies in there!

Just be careful they don't chew the rubber much....... that could cause a problem.

Clever idea!

Hee, hee...I noticed your avitar. Is that cut on your finger a bunny bite? It looks suspiciously familiar (said the lady who has 15 rabbits...) Anyway, I thought the smiley face was cute. :p

Aww! How cute! I was thinking of getting one of those, but neither of my bunnies are that desperate for food. They just nibble throughout the day. He seems to be going to town on that thing! ;)

Haha... rat bite, actually. I had just gotten two white rats as fosters for a rescue, one was friendly and the other wasn't!

That's so cute! My guys would just eat the rubber, though. Nothing made of rubber is safe in my house. I now have only one button remaining on my remote.

What's up with the remotes? and cell phones and telephones? They love to try to eat them!

I also have no shirt with all the buttons in place or unaltered in design. :X

lol, I was just complaining to Dave the other day that Carmel had bitten one of the buttons off of the remote ~ an important one! ~ and now its hard to use! The little bugger was as fast as lightning, too. I thought he just picked it up to throw it on the floor ("MY COUCH!!"). Next time I went to use it, I had to get a ball point pen to press the button.:grumpy:

LOL...Yofi did that a few months ago too. I picked up the remote one day to change the tv channel and thought, 'Hey, the button feels a bit odd'. Then I really took a look at it and discovered that three of the buttons have been de-buttoned...severed at the top...by one vewy vewy bad wabbit. And since it's not my remote (it belongs to the digital box I'm renting from Roger's Cable), I wonder if I can claim it came that way. :biggrin2:

I had pondered giving Anna and Yofi a Kong stuffed with treats, but feared one - or both of them - wouldn't know enough to stop once the treats were gone, and thus would wind up with a Kongless Kong. (I'd given them a set of baby key rings and all Yofi did was tear them to shreds.) So instead I bought them a treat thingy made for cats. It's hard clear plastic and you twist the cap open to drop treats inside, and the holes are adjustable for whatever size the treat is (to a point). Those two love it! I drop in a few craisins, raisins, or Cheerios and Anna and Yofi spend the next 5-10 minutes chasing that thing all over the room, pausing only when a morsel happens to fall out of a hole.

LOL...I love the pics of Gideon with his Kong...looks like he's definitely claimed ownership ("Dis be MINE!")
