Hi, it's me again, I still need advice with mytwo Lop eared Bunnies. They were best buddies (boy friend& girl friend) actually they are brother & sister butthey act llike girl friend & boy friend.

In case you don't know the story behind my inquiries they lived in abig condo for over a year together. Wilbur was alittle underthe weather last Saturday, as the Vet in the past suggested we shouldseperate them to make sure he went to the bathroom (to check if he hada blockage). They were seperated for only 24 hours, when weput them back together Jackie attacked Wilbur.

We ended up putting them in seperate cages beside each other. When we put them together on our bed they are fine kissing each otherand cuddling up to one another. However when we put them onthe floor in the hallway they start to fight. We are usingthe water spray bottle to seperate them.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do.

Do you think if we just let them go at one another one would get really hurt?

How long is this procees going to take?

We have another bunny Buttercup, he's a really good & loveablebaby. He has the run of our family room, he will jump up andlie beside us, he always wants rubbies and when you stop he'll kissyour hand and then nudge you for more.

He doesn't interact with Wilbur & Jackie, we tried that when they were babies and they really don't like each other.

Well back to Wilbur & Jackie I would appreciate any advice for these two munchkins.

Thanks

This is an excellent sight on how to bond or re-bond bunnies. Manypeople on the forum have successfully bonded bunnies by following thesetips.

If you "let them go at it" they will hurt each other...maybe even to the point of killing one another.

Bonding takes a lot of time and patience. Our member Stephanie workedvery hard to bond her three rabbits together and eventually she wassuccessful. I would suggest looking up her posts on bonding. TypeStephanie into the search and browse through her past posts.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Soooska,

I had to re-bond my girls this month after one of them was spayed.

It took some time and patience. I put them in an emptybathtub for a few minutes each day, slowly increasing the time togetheruntil they were okay. If they started to fight, I'd justreach in and stop it and say, "no".

It took about three weeks until they could be caged together again, but they are doing great now.

Don't give up! They WILL love each other again.Keep them in side-by-side cages when you can't be there to supervisethem.

Do you put a towel on the bottom of the tub? I'd be afraid that they could slip and hurt themselves.

Thanks

My little guy is not eating much, before all thishappened he really was like Wilbur the piggy, he ate alot. Isthis normal when being seperated.

I'm afraid he's going to get sick fron not eating.

You can put a towel in the tub if you would like. My rabsdidn't slip, but you might want to be careful. Good luck!:D
