I went to see a Giant Angora breeder today. It was an info session, so no bunny yet, but I did put a deposit on one and should have her soon. She is about 1 year old and needs to be spayed before I can bring her home.
She is very sweet, so sweet that she is called Sweets :).
She has been clipped and so doesn't look much like an angora, but having seen her relatives, she should have lots of fluff soon.
I will probably end up changing her name, but I haven't decided what it will be.

Good Luck tomorrow. She will be shaved even more for the spay. Did you get her from a breeder called Homespun Angoras?
Yep :). Joanne is really nice and all the bunnies are adorable.
She should only have her belly shaved. Currently, she is not much longer than the average rabbit. She was sheered about 2 weeks ago.

I met Joanne. :D

Are you seeing Dr. Leticia Materi at the Calgary Avian & Exotic Pet Clinic? :)
Dr. Materi is one of the vets I see for my buns. Sweets is getting spayed by Joannes vet in Turner Valley. It's the vet she is comfortable with and I think a bit cheaper than the Calgary Avian and Exotic vet.

Oh I see.DoesJoanne release any of her bunnies before they are fixed? Here is a picture of some of her bunnies that I took.

I don't think so. She might if the person is looking to show or breed, but pets are fixed before they go home. I saw one of hers at the Millarville Fall Fair last week. He was bring shown, so I don't think he was neutered. It is rare for her to sell a male though.

Hope the spay goes well!
Shes gorgeous!!

So fluffy!

Thanks everyone!
She has gone into the spay by now (I am assuming) and I hope to get word when she is done and safe. I am so worried about her:nerves1 and I hope she come through it with flying colours. :pullhair:

In about 1 week. I am not exactly sure when due to scheduling. She is going to get a chance to heal a bit before I get her. It give me time to clean and get some grooming supplies.
