See, 50 is cold here... really cold.
I'm trying to decide whether or not to go visit Purdue... I'm a little worried about the snow.

We didn't get it :)

Missy, what are you visiting Purdue for? I live less than an hour from there. We usually go there for some 4-H stuff in the spring - not sure if our leader got it all arranged or not tho...... grrrrr....

anyhow, my niece is a vet student there and both of my kids want to go there!

GO BOILERS!

:biggrin2:

Arizonian's are odd :craziness. I am a total New Yorker :rollseyes.

It snowed here all night, hailed, was freezing outside....Ryan goes to take the trash out to the street this morning at 9:00, and kids were outside playing in the snow screaming "WOOOO, SNOOOW DAAAAAY!!!".

Uhm...do you want to know how much snow we got?

3 inches :expressionless.....

and it melted by 10:00am :laughsmiley:.

The fog was so bad in Indiana Monday that you couldn't see more than 20 feet (IF THAT) in front of you. My kids went to school LOL!

Three inches of snow is like...... playtime here...... not school's out LOL!

Yeah, if our kids got out of school for three inches of snow, they woud spend half the winter at home! LOL The fog was insane here yesterday too, I had to drive ten miles to the doctor's office and saw three wrecks. And people were driving around with no headlights on!! How can some people be so dumb and survive?

It's one of the 8 schools I've been accepted to so far. I've been accepted into their Agriculture school as a Prevet major. I've also been offered a $10,000/yr. scholarship and entrance into the Dean's Scholarship program.
It's one of the schools I'm certainly considering, but I still don't know where I want to go.

Congratulations to you! A remarkable achievement!

Go to PURDUE!!! It's a great vet school! Dr. Russell is a personal friend ofmy sister and brother inlaw. The vets that come from Purdue are awesome. I think Purdue's vet school is actually one of the top in the country.

I just can't say enough about it~! I am not overly impressed with any other school. Funny thing - I hated Purdue when I was younger..... just thought it was YUCK! lol. I didn't know anything. Both of my kids will probably go there. My son is still all over the place in what he wants to do. I think he's going for meteorology now...... who knows. He might be better off in a school like U of OK if he wants to do storm chasing and such. My daughter already bleeds black and gold. She will not rest until she's a student at Purdue. She's just 12. LOL!

if there is anything I can do, please let me know ok?

What type of Vet medicine are you thinking about? small? exotics? large?

I haven't decided what sort of vetmed I want to do. I'm leaning toward exotics, but I still have time.
I'm leaning toward Cornell, if they let me in and if I decide I can deal with the weather. If I don't want to deal with the weather, there's UC Davis, if they let me in.
As of now, I could go to Colorado State, Kansas State, Oregon State, Michigan State, Washington State, Purdue, Texas A&M or UC Riverside. I'm waiting to hear from Cornell, Illinois and the other 8 UC's, but Davis is the only UC I'd really want to go to.
