I just love Indiana weather, one week we get 14" of snow, the next week its in the 60'sF with 4" of rain. At supperTuesday nightit was 48F with thunderstorms, IN JANUARY (not a normal occurrence) and an hour later it was 34F and when I got up it was -2F. Then I got called into work at 5am. I hit the garage door button and the garage door didn't move, it was frozen to the garage floor from the rain and the ice when the temperature dropped. I hit again to turn it off and went outside to my car through the front door.

My wife went to a job interview later that morning hit the garage door opener and thought it wasn't working since the door didn't come up. A few minutes later she heard a noise in the garage and found a fist sized hole in our wooden garage door where the bolts had been.

I call the insurance company (in Texas) and had a fun time trying to explain how a garage door can be frozen to ground. It took me 3 times before they understood. Then Ifind out there's a $500 deductible and the first estimate is $495.

Just gotta love Indiana weather!
Yeah, my garage door made an awful noise and all I could think was "oh s***!", but luckily no damage done and it opened and shut. Phew!

My truck sits outside. I drove it the next day and it kept creeking and cracking.... I thought something was wrong! It was just the ice breaking off! LOL!

We got right about the same weather yesterday.

High winds were our BIG problem. A tree fell down at the bowling alley in the neighboring town and crushed three cars and damaged another. No fun there, that's for sure!

stargazerlily - yep wait 5 minutes is the saying here too! LOL!

Emily, what are you doing in Indiana?

Silly BBB, I'm not in Indiana right now, lol.

Well, the storm fizzled in central indiana. It's just a snow now.

We had some freezing rain but it's melted.

Kids were out of school anyhow so we slept in.

Bo, I was thinking about you guys when I saw the radar. Looked like you would be getting it at times, then other's it looked like it broke up a bit.

We got 6.3 inches. Alot of stuff is closed here today.

East of here got upwards of 8 inches, some areas 10, Springfield-12:shock:.

Hubby is on his way home from Iowa. He and 5 other guys from his work had to go out there for a week for some classes.

Anyhow, I told him I'd check with my friends in IL to see how it is - he's going to phone me later.....

Guess I will tell him it's SNOWY!!

Good thing they're in a suburban

Who needs snowballs.
I'll take my snowblower and bury you in snow. :biggrin2:

I've got the biggest snowblower on the block, and I can clean our street (yes the road) so nobody gets stuck driving out.

PSH! My hubby is a heavy equipment mechanic and in the winter they run BIG plow trucks.... ONE swipe and not only can I cover you, your car will be hidden until spring! :p;)

I hate it when they clean our streets. They come and plow the road but leave hugh windrows on the side of the street, and no one can park on the street after that. I prefer they leave our street alone.

Wow, it's snowing hard right now and it's lightning and thundering:shock:, thundersnow:p. We're supposed to get about 2-4 more inches tonight along with some freezing rain:?.

I don't know what our weather is supposed to do. I have been sleeping all weekend.

I do know my son said it's supposed to be around 57° tomorrow.
