So yesterday morning I wake up to warm air, (warm for us - 50° F in January) and the sun peeking through the clouds...... felt like spring.

It started getting a bit gloomy outside and overcast but still warm..... ahhh Fall my favorite time of year.......

By noon the wind was whipping around and the storm clouds were beginning to move in...... by evening it was lightning and thunder and a huge rain that nearly wiped us off the road........ and tornados ..... still it was warm ... Early Summer! WOOHOO!......

after the storm - within the hour........ it was 31.6° F and began snowing.

By 2 a.m. it was 7° F and a windchill of like -10. Oh yes, we have WINTER!

:expressionless It's always been a joke that in Indiana you never know what season it will be from morning to night...... This was ridiculous! LOL!

Same here - yesterday it was like spring, this morning the wind beat us as hard as possible (and destroyed as much as possible) then we got rain, then we got snow, then we got rain.... now the sun is out and the sky is blue. The temp is jumping around like crazy, and I've just given up!

Wow! It was sort of like that on Monday way to warm and rainy then the next day it snowed over the rain and now it's so icey and yuck out you want to spend the rest of winter hiding in your house with a cup of hot chocolate.

I know Bo, that's exactly what it was like here yesterday and last night too. That wind was ridiculous and it's still so cold. 6F with wind chill:grumpy:.

Have you looked at the weather for the next couple of days? If it's the same - you'll be getting snow...... we're in 6+ inches predicted, Crystal......

Yep, approximately 7 inches here in Frankfort tomorrow evening. Looks like I'm going to be stayin' in the next few days.

Yeah, my hubby told me to check the weather and sure enough we're predicted 3-5 for tomorrow night;). I don't mind it if I don't have to go anywhere:p.

We were having that all night but no snow. It was 52 before I went to bed at 1:30am, then the winds picked up, the temps dropped to 33 degrees by 1pm, then dropped to 25 degrees by 4pm, it is now 24 degrees.

The saying in Ohio has always been "if you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes". That was so true yesterday, where we, like Bo, hit all 4 seasons in a matter of hours. I still remember one day in March when I was in high school. Woke up in the morning with 4 inches of snow on the ground, school cancelled, and by 4 p.m. it was sunny and 70. I think we're supposed to get snow tonight.

We got right about the same weather yesterday.

High winds were our BIG problem. A tree fell down at the bowling alley in the neighboring town and crushed three cars and damaged another. No fun there, that's for sure!

stargazerlily - yep wait 5 minutes is the saying here too! LOL!

Emily, what are you doing in Indiana?

We got hit bad yesterday - the wind ripped through here, tore our house and everything else all apart, and around 5 PMfinally knocked the power out, except it only knocked it out half way, and both our computers, our T.V. and our oven were on. Our water tank overheated.... we sat panicking about how we would afford to replace everything if it was blown until 10PM when they told us our power would be restored. Come 10 PM with still no power, we called in again and apparently they didn't know we didn't have power or that we even existed, which is not unusual. No one lives near us for miles, and even then, they are summer cottages so the power people don't worry about them in the winter. So wegave up and went to bed. The power came back on at 4 AM - and all the things Kevin told me he had turned off came on and scared me half to death... then Kevin spent from 4AM on trying to fix water pump and computers (thank God we got them going again) and now we are going to pick up the pieces of our house outside. I hope everyone affected by the winds is O.K.... it knocked a train off it's tracks in Ohio yesterday, didn't like seeing that!

Hope anyone affected is O.K.!

I just love Indiana weather, one week we get 14" of snow, the next week its in the 60'sF with 4" of rain. At supperTuesday nightit was 48F with thunderstorms, IN JANUARY (not a normal occurrence) and an hour later it was 34F and when I got up it was -2F. Then I got called into work at 5am. I hit the garage door button and the garage door didn't move, it was frozen to the garage floor from the rain and the ice when the temperature dropped. I hit again to turn it off and went outside to my car through the front door.

My wife went to a job interview later that morning hit the garage door opener and thought it wasn't working since the door didn't come up. A few minutes later she heard a noise in the garage and found a fist sized hole in our wooden garage door where the bolts had been.

I call the insurance company (in Texas) and had a fun time trying to explain how a garage door can be frozen to ground. It took me 3 times before they understood. Then Ifind out there's a $500 deductible and the first estimate is $495.

Just gotta love Indiana weather!
