I caught this bunny at a park a couple weeks ago. I had posted a found pet ad and notified the local shelter with no response, so I decided to keep her to hopefully eventually become a friend for my other bunny once she was fixed. She is not a fan of being touched so I didn't know what *** she was until I took her in to be fixed yesterday and they said she is a girl... AND she's pregnant 🫢 So the fixing has been postponed for the moment, and babies arrived today.

I was just curious about what breed or mix she might be. I think she's very pretty!

The first 3 pictures are from right after i caught her. It was a very rainy day, so we were soaking wet and miserable. The other pictures are in her new place, and the babies.

Thanks!!

She's a mixed breed. Rabbit's arent like dogs where most of them are a mix of different breeds, the vast majority of rabbits aren't descended from any purebreds (and even if they are, they lost the breed specific traits within one generation) The color is called tricolor.

Oh, okay! Thank you!

@Mokey and Briar , I am so grateful you rescued her! From all the contacts I have with rescue groups, many humans choose to abandon their rabbits and they are not fixed. So the rescue now has babies to find homes for. Plus volunteering at a local shelter, I observed the rabbits that were surrendered and not altered.

The pictures of your lucky rescued girl make me sigh. Hubby rescued abandoned buns (agouti colors and New Zealand White) in 2006 and both females were pregnant.

Thank you for posting the images! I am in love! Gosh, her back coloring reminds me of two harlequins who share our home. They don't mind the love they receive. Yes, she is a gorgeous gal and how lucky she and her babies are to be safely inside. I will stay tuned for updates and more images.

Thank you! And that is lovely that you and your husband have also rescued bunnies! So many people seem to be under the impression that they can just let their bunnies go and they'll be happy in the wild.

I do really love her coloring also, and her máscara around her eyes. Her babies seem to be a wide variety of colors!
