Foot sores

Winston has a little sore on one foot, which Ihear is common in rex rabbits. I seem to remember someone mentioningthat you can treat it with Neosporin -- is this true? Thanks so much!

We normally use fungus foot powder or iodine on small sores on the feet. You can also try the Neosporin.

It's commong for Rex rabbits to have foot sores?:shock:Oh my. Emmy is a mini-rex. I have to watch out forthose sores. I think you ought to try the fungus foot powder instead. Iheard that it had accurate heal treatment

Callouses are common due to the lack of thickfurring on their tootsies Surprisingly, sore feet are notuncommon in Angoras.

Can only tell u from my expericene. With roger iput neosporin on his foot then vasoline. It worked fine. Ikeep a cardboard box in his cage now and some on the floor, and no moresores on his foot. Good luck healing it up.

Good idea Cristy I have read some bunnies tend to get sores on theirfeet from wire bottoms, I don't have to worry as Bindys hutch bottom isa rippled plastic and I cover her floor in their with newspaper, sheloves it, sometimes she hides under it, mind you it makes for funkylooking feet LOL

Does he have a wire cage?Nepo's just healing from his sore on both feet. I used neosporin andwashed his feet with peroxide. And since he had a wire floor I put awood board on it
