I am looking for a flemish breeder and I've foundsome in my state but I am also wondering about ones from other breedersand shipping. Does shipping effect the baby whatsoever?

I personally have not come across abreeder that would ship. My first Flemish I had to drive 5 hours topick up. My next three I will be driving 9 hours to get.

If you go to the NFFGRB website they have a list of breeders by state.

I can add the link if you need it.

Good Luck!
Tina

Yeah, I was on there looking at breeders and theyare pretty far from me, so I was curious about shipping because I sawone breeder online who said they shipped but it didn't seem to be verycommon

I'm really surprised you found a breederwilling to ship. Where are you located if you don't mind me asking? Ilive in Virginia and I have no breeders in my state at all and even Iwas able to drive a few hours to pick them up.

Shipping is usualy not advised because it is very stressful on rabbits in general more so in the young and old.

You might want to go towww.arba.net and check out if there areany shows that will be in your area. Almost always you can find rabbitsfor sale of any breed there. They also tend to cut down prices atshows, so you could probably find a nice deal. :)

I am in the upper left corner of washingtonstate, making the closest breeders to me 7 hours away, through themountains. Its an absolutely grueling drive, so I was hoping to avoidit with shipping but not if it would hinder the rabbits healthwhatsoever. There are no shows near my area, most are about 2 -2 1/2hours away, and I wouldnt be able to spare the time unless I knew abreeder would be there. Most of the shows look like youth shows in theSeattle area.

LOL. Well I have to consider you lucky to have a show 2-2.5 hrs from you, I drive 4-5hrs to all my shows. xD

I wish you luck in finding a bun though!

I just had an idea. When I was lookingfor breeders last year, I would ask them if they were going to such andsuch a show. Perhaps you can meet them that way. I met Apollo's breederat a show and it saved me an additional two hours driving. PLus we gotto see our first show.
