I have noticed that Maisie has some bald patches on her tummy and back of her neck. She has also been scratching quite a bit and has some little scabs on her back. I had put it down poulticing, but now I am not so sure. I just put her and Harvey in the bath together (without water) as I am still trying to bond them. I noticed there was a little bug thing jumping about in the bath. Well, I took Harvey out straight away because he hasn't been having any hair loss and seems perfectly normal. I caught the bug and it seemed to be injured, but was definitely jumping. I squished it and it had brownish blood stuff inside it. Is this a flea? What on earth do I do? I treated Maisie straight away with some 'stronghold' which the vet gave me for mites on a previous occasion. Maisie and Harvey are both house rabbits, and I am pregnant. Any suggestions?

yikes, missed this, sorry!

it may be fleas, but it also soundslike it could be mites --except that you can't really see mites, just the patches. But if that really was a flea you caught (fits the description, fleas Really jump though and their bodies are pretty hard), and not just another bug, then I guess that's it.

Here's somelinks, check it out.

Personally, I'd prefer to take them to a vet and get the vet to treat them with Advantage, Revolution or Ivermectin or whatever s/he deems fit. (Just not Frontline!)
