Feeding ball for pellets?

Hey bun buds! I had my vet recommend finding a way for my rabbit to work more for her food, siiiiince she's a little bit chonkier than he would like. I've seen cat and dog toys that slowly dispense treats/food and was wondering if you guys had heard of a similar thing for rabbits. I would love something, specifically for her pellets!

P.S. I do already have her on a diet, I just think this would be helpful to get her more active, since she is so food driven.

I actually do this with my bunnies to get my boy to lose some excess ‘fur’ (can’t call him fat ). The toy I’m using is just a sea grass ball (and a seagrass carrot) and just wedging their pellets into the gaps!

I just got this today. It took her about 30 minutes to figure out how it works, but then she was at it nonstop until pellets were gone. About 6 dollars at amazon

I just saw this and ordered two for my bunnies! My Poppy girl is going to be SO excited! And Basil will probably be mildly curious .

Ooo, interesting! My girl absolutely destroys those things, so that's a possible option!

Just wondering I liked the idea of the ball but worried I generally avoid plastic where possible and just not sure, if any of you using for longer time, don't they chew on it?

It’s not something I’ve seen him really able to get a grip on to chew.

We use a foraging bowl. I have one of those big flat bottomed Pyrex bowls full of all the random little toys she doesn’t like pieces of wood, pinecones and such. I sprinkle her pellets in the bowl and she has to dig around to get them out. Not as much run around as a ball but she seems to enjoy it and it makes her work more for her food.

Mine don’t chew on the ball as they are too busy pushing it about to get the pellets out and then when it’s empty I take it away. But my little one is clever and has worked out how to pick it up and run off with it, to have all the contents to herself. Cheating at the ball game!
