I do. I would love to have my rabbit be the snuggly type. I’ve tried for the past few months to let Trixie hang out on my bed. She will come up and get her pets but if I allow her to sit there for so long, she always ends up leaving a gift or two sometimes more when she decides to hop off to mark that the bed is “hers”. So for the past 2 weeks when she would hop onto the bed, I would give her loves for a minute but then make her get off the bed. I then move to the floor to give her the attention she’s wanting. I feel awful for telling her no when she just wants hang out while I’m laying down but I’m so tired of picking up her poops from my bed. One time I had fallen asleep from being so tired and when I woke up, she had left gifts all over by my feet ‍♀️.

Does anyone else ever feel bad for their rabbit?

i do, quite a lot. my whole family are allergic to rabbits and we have dogs, so ours are outdoor bunnies. they live in a shed (with a hutch inside) and an attached garden but i still feel bad that i can't spend tons of time with them in winter/rainy days. in summer i spend hours out there but in winter, i don't wanna catch colds 24/7. i know they would benefit from more handling but it's just not possible. in that regard, i feel bad for them.

I feel bad for my outdoor bunnies. They are the cuddly kind. A lot cuddlier than Odin, he can never be still for long times. All three are cuddly bunnies in their own way.

I often try to spend time with them and cuddle with them everyday. But it will only be short times. Spring to summer time is the time I can spend the longest with them. They often get to stay indoors and hope around in the house.

But my parents have the rule that only one bunny indoors. And Lilja hate living indoors, so she need a friend outdoors with her. Which makes Toste can’t be with Odin.

I also feel bad for not letting them out some days when the weather is bad. Only because Lilja don’t understand it’s not good getting soaking wet during a cold weather. So they can sometimes spend 3 days in the hutch and not have access to the run. It becomes different when they have summer fur, because then I can just take them into the house and let them hop around. So, sometimes I feel like a bad owner.

I have one attention-loving rabbit, and one reclusive rabbit. The former's always the center of what's happening in the house and loves people. She seems pretty happy.

The shy rabbit, though... I think he's happy, too. I give him space to do what he chooses, and if he doesn't want petting, we let him hop off and do his own thing. He genuinely seems content by himself most of the time, and knows that, should he desire the attention of humans or another rabbit, all he has to do is come downstairs or across the room to where everyone else is sitting.

For rabbits' behavior and the leaving of gifts or nibbling of carpet/clothes/walls, sometimes it just takes time (sometimes lots of time) to get them to behave closer to how we prefer. I was amazed at the behavioral changes of my rabbits even after they had been with me for over a year.

I've never found bunnies and beds to mix. My rabbits aren't allowed in the bedroom. Bunnies like to pee on beds. Only ever had one that we didn't have that issue with.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets suckered into their cuteness.

Last night I left my room for no more than 5 minutes, and I came back and she managed to literally leave 20+ gifts...best part of it all? My boyfriend was sleeping right next to the scattered pile. I gasped and said "TRIXIE" and she hopped right off the bed and tried to go hide behind her bag of hay. The little stinker. I told her "no go inside" aka go inside her hutch and she immediately did. She knows when she did something bad. Needless to say she had a time out for 20 minutes while I picked up her little poops. Then of course after what probably felt like an eternity for her, she put her paws up against the hutch, asking to be let out. Of course I caved and let her out again and she came up to lick my hand. I'm a sucker.

Thankfully we haven't had another pee incident (only 2 ever happened), but now I'm thinking of how to keep a litter box nearby our bed. She has one in the hutch which is 2 ft away, but I'm wondering if she can't make it in time to the hutch to do her business, or if she's doing this to tell me she's being a stinker butt. I can't put a box on my bed because knowing my luck, I'll end up accidentally knocking it over when I'm asleep and I don't need to be cleaning an even bigger mess.

We felt bad for our bunnies, so today let them have full run of the garden all day - their hutch is in the garden and they can go inside it whenever they want.

I feel less bad for them now after it took ten minutes, and three of us to heard them back in. Whoops.

How fun! I bet they had a blast in the garden. I wish my yard was nice enough to have Trixie come out and play. I have to rabbit proof everything though so she doesn't get into things that she shouldn't.

Yes. There are huge delays with deliveries at the moment so we ran out of pellets. They look at me with disappointment and I feel bad. Fred and Sunny peed into their food bowls. I don't know how they manage to do it so precisely.
Good thing though that they eat tons of hay now, like their own size 3-4 times a day, they're always hungry and their berries are golden.

Yes, I do at sometimes when I leave for a long time I feel bad for her:( when I come home she’s waiting for me on my bed sleeping. I don’t like to leave her, I would like to take her with me to places, but I think she’ll get scared.

I also fell bad when I run out of veggies..like right know the my grocery store are out of veggies:(

I'm so lucky, my husband managed to get two massive bags of hay and a 5kg bag of pellets from a small little known about pet store. He said they had been ransacked. I've been so ill (ear infection not corona) I hadn't even thought about their food becoming unavailable.
He's also project managing a development at a farm, so he could have had some of their hay.
No straw to be had though, so we'll use towels/old teeshirts I guess.

I feel bad for our little doe, Blue, whenever she has tummy upsets. When she's well, I'm happy. When it comes right down to it, I read each of our seven bunnies' behavior every day. If any of them seems out of sorts, I feel bad, really bad. When they get back to their old routine I'm happy.

We have a newcomer, a Flemish Giant named Rob, Robbie for short. :) He's much like a small child; whenever something frightens him he'll run for refuge into his apartment and quiver with fear. It has only happened twice; but, each time I felt terrible.

One time he got caught in a smaller bunny's hidey hole. It terrified him when he couldn't get out. When I freed him he ran to his house. Another time a small buck broke into his quarters and scared the dickens out of him. Both times I was able to talk to him, soothe him and stroke him lovingly. I think it helped. He's my big, clumsy lovable guy, a real dear. It gives me purpose at my age to do everything within my power to make our buns' lives wonderful. :)

The high part of every day is when I say good night to our buns and give them papaya treats. They go nuts over them. Making them happy makes me very happy.

I fell so bad when any of my rabbits get sick, I always think its my fault... It's only happened 2 times but I felt so bad.

With this coronavirus, nothing is in stock! It's so frustrating. At one point, I have a feeling that I won't have any veggies for Trixie to eat either. For now, we still have some mint and cilantro growing in my backyard so that would be my backup plan.

The moment they told that the nearby counties were going into a shelter in place, the PetSmart nearby was PACKED. I had never seen a store be so busy. Thankfully I was able to grab 2 bags of litter before they were completely out.

I get nervous about whether or not Trixie will go into GI stasis. Thankfully it has not happened (knock on wood), but I'm prepared should it ever happen. It took some time for her to get accustomed to the sounds of my house but now she doesn't run into her tunnel as often. I hope Robbie will get adjusted soon to his new loving home!

It's so stressful sometimes because every day when I come home, I check her poops and see what they look like and how much is in there. If there's anything less than the norm, I just give her one squirt of Mylicon to give an extra boost for her stomach. I know what you mean though, I always feel bad when Trixie isn't her usual self.
