Dry bald spot under chin

Hello! I noticed a bald spot under Bailey’s chin last night while she was eating her greens. it’s right where her chin meets her neck. It’s not huge but I noticed some dry patches on the revealed skin. Could this just be from her scent glans (she chins a lot) or is it a skin infection worth getting checked out? She eats and drinks enthusiastically so nothing seems to be bothering her. I’ve only had her for a few months so her health worries me bc she was neglected in the past!!!

Most bald patches under chins are due to drooling. It’s generally due to teeth issues but it’s possible it could be something else. You could get a vets advice by calling or emailing Fur Loss and Skin Problems in Domestic Rabbits

So the dry spots turned into sores and I knew it was time to see the vet. He diagnosed her with syphilis very sad bc she must’ve had it for awhile and this was a flareup. The vet gave us PenG injections daily for 7 days. Will this cure it? or does it just treat the flareup?

Ah okay, at least she’s being treated . I’m not sure what it treats, you can always call the vet and ask
