Drinking and Weeing a Lot

Our dwarf lop, Poppy is getting through something like 500ml of water a day. Her litter tray is always sodden when we empty it each day. It starts with about1cm of litter,which swells to somthing like 3cm!!

She's has a urine test, which showed nothing conclusive - there werecrystals in it, but that's apparentlyfairly normal in rabbits.

We are going to have to take her back to the vets for a blood test I think, but has anyone ever experienced this, and it just been down to a rabbit that 'just drinks too much'?

As far as the crystals go, I wouldn't say they are normal. Common perhaps, but still a health problem. However I have no experience as far as crystals and the symptoms go, I'm sure someone will chime in here soon with more advice. I just wanted to say I hope your babyturns out to be justfine!

It's good that you're getting a blood test done. I haven't personally had this problem, but I'd be worried about kidney problems or diabetes. Best of luck, and please keep us updated!
