Does My Rabbit Love Me?

I have had my rabbit for 7 years, but he's never been one to really lick. He sometimes greets me when I walk in my room, and he grinds his teeth when I pet him and rub him. He will hop on my bed during the night sometimes, and I will cuddle with him. I know he trusts me, and the only way I can get him to lick me is if I put some apple juice on my palm, or papaya nectar juice lol! What do you guys think? Do you think that Oscar really does love me a lot?

He sounds very happy and comfortable with you. Some rabbits just aren't big lickers, like lucas the bun mentioned. I have an eight year old bun that I would never get a lick from, then after several years one day she licked me. Just that once. Even her bun family that she lives with, she hardly licks. But in the last year I've noticed that she does it more than she used to, but still not as much as they groom her, which she loves. I think it's just her personality.

Yeah, I've noticed that some bunnies just don't groom a whole lot. And that sounds a lot like my rabbit too.

My male bunny never licked he was a circler he would get very excited and circle my feet. My female is always licking me. I guess every bunny is different. They show they love you in different ways I’m sure your bunny loves you in his own way!. If he trusts you and let’s you cuddle him he loves you.

My little lionhead has been with me for almost 4 years now and I "think" he has licked me twice in all that time, but I couldn't be sure, because he never does .
He was abused and neglected and thrown out into the world to fend for himself at 6months old before he came to me, so his trust in humans is not the best.
In fact it has taken me all this time to get him to allow me to pet him a few pets when I give him a pinch of oats. This is huge for us. He loves playing "bonka bonka" (he bonks my heals one at a time, twice, as we walk around the house), which shows me he does care about me.

My girl on the other hand, she's not really a licker either the only time I get any licks is after the treat has been eaten and I show them it's all gone. She'll lick my fingers to get the last of the nothingness
Alternatively, to get him "used to being handled" my buns have a groomer come to do their nails and brush-out once every month and a half.

My last girl, she was a lover. She licked (I call them kisses) me continually throughout the day & night and came and cuddled in my lap any chance she could.
I miss her love.
I'm content with my current buns affection though and take what they want to give me

Both my rabbits lick me sometimes on my forehead too! Or when I’m combing their fur they lick my other hand. Try grooming him with brush!

My buns is a constant licker however I think he hates me and he doesn't really greet me, isn't happy to see me and is constantly nipping me. I feel as if he has a new personality every week (he's 11 months old/neutred at 6 months) ... Everybun is so different!

My Pumi is not the licker and doesn't cuddle with me. He was a feral rabbit that I adopted from the sanctuary 4 months ago (now 9 months old) so he is more on the skiddish side. He is comfortable with us when we sit down on the floor to hang out with him. I can tell he want pets when he put his head under my hand or nudges my fingers. He happily purs when he gets head rubs so all rabbits are different afterall!!
