Does anyone else’s bunny not have a usual sleeping spot?

Hi guys,

I’ve trained my bunny to be a free roam. I live in an apartment so I just let him all over the living room and kitchen (though he never steps in the kitchen). He has a cage, and hangs in there, does his business in there and eats hay.

However, when he sleeps/snoozes he does it everywhere. There’s a few main spots, but nothing specific. Is this usual behaviour?

I’m scared he’s not comfortable so he keeps moving around. I’ve given him baskets, blankets, pillows.. he doesn’t seems to like any of them. Only the floor (anywhere) as it’s carpet. But I thought he would find that hard and not as comfy like say on a blanket.

Oh no. That's perfectly normal. I got Shen a hidey house. He'll sit on it. He'll sleep in his hay, on the shelving under my desk, in the middle of the floor. Xiao Wu sleeps on our air vent, a cardboard box and sometimes my bed. This is perfectly normal for rabbits.

Agreed. Totally normal, but will vary on the bun. Lucas is adamant about sleeping in one of two places (both in his house, although he has my whole house to road) and Lawrence will plop down literally anywhere. I often find myself asking him "is that a good spot?", especially when it's in the middle of the floor...

Same experience here, Ava has a few go too, under the bed ontop of the storage bins and behind the couch but throughout the day she just plops anywhere she is for a midday nap! Totally normal!

Agreed. Totally normal, but will vary on the bun. Haha! Yes my bun sleeps right in the middle of the walk away... and I’m always reading they like nooks, or burrows haha I even build pillow forts for him.. doesn’t like lol

I think the males have more of a tendency to sit/sleep where they can keep an eye on everything... Like keeping watch over their realm.

When I first brought my Cinnabun home I made a hidden place for her to sleep. That was in February.
But now she has 2-3 places that she will sleep. And no longer sleeps in the hidden place.
