Do you have certain rabbits you could NEVER get rid of?

Lol well I am not a breeder, so my opinion doesn't count....but...

Both of mine lol! I couldn't ever ever be apart from either of them.

Moving this to the Rabbitry. Don't think any pet people would want to get 'rid' of any of their pets, at least not the vast majority.

My MR tort buck Brier :inlove: Love him to death! Lol, hes
strictly pet quality but so sweet. Hes the one that inspired my rabbit habit :p

Definitely my first rabbit, Magic. Could never get rid of him. My nephew actually got worried the other day when he was over because my niece had asked who all we sold, and my nephew goes "Not Magic!!! Magic is mine and Emi's favourite bunny!!" lol. It was pretty cute, and I reassured him that I didn't get rid of Magic. Even if I wanted to get rid of him, my nephew would probably kill me before I could. lol.

Ray is definitely another keeper. He is just full of so much personality and he's so cute. I'll probably bring him with me when I move out, as well as Magic, of course. :)

I could never get rid of sully my beveren buck. Yoda my chin nethie and I have a Siamese smoke nethie doe called evie who I love as well lol. Princess the last beveren doe I brought in is fast going the same way she loves attention.
I have had to pass on a couple of my other favourites but I know they have gone to really good homes :0)

I could never get rid of Kiddo, my main buck. My first doe... I'm not sure. I guess I could. I loved her so much when I first got her... All the way until a few months ago, when she turned too snotty for me to even be able to pet her at all. She just automatically bites.

So I guess just Kiddo. XD Besides, I'd never /want/ to get rid of him. Best rabbit of mine, and will always have a place here. Even when he stops showing and producing.

My boy Blaze, he was my frist rabbit, Amita, my first real dutch(blue doe), Rachel(my bff and i named buns after each other, i'm a chinchilla dwarf doe, she's a tort dutch doe-Rachel) and my Vlops. I could never ever part with my Vlops, i just love them to death! hence why I'm getting more Vlops.

I'm pretty bad about this - usually whenever I get an adult rabbit - especially if it is a doe - I will keep it for the rest of its life. I've seen does go from home to home and I know how territorial they can get - and I'm just not a big fan of rehoming my does.

All of my "starter" herd for both flemish and hollands will probably retire and live here. But I do intend to keep my herds small...so that should help.

I am a small-scale breeder and could never get rid of any of my buns except the ones from a new litter that we are selling to other breeders or to pet people. But I know what you mean. Even in a small rabbitry, I have my favorites. Guenther Grunt, one of my stud bucks, is also my nirvana bunny -- he gets such a happy expression on his face when I stroke him that it totally dissolves away my own depression, anxiety, fear or unhappiness. Then there's Dolly. She was the top-ranked Flemish GIant rabbit nationally in the latter part of 2009. But beyond her promise as a brood doe, she is regal and dignified yet very affectionate. She talks to me by huffing through her nose. Then there's Bessie, and Eleanor, oh, I love 'em all, but I know what you mean.
