You'd be surprised. Rabbits are naturally curious animals.

Mine are all over me, especially if they think I have treats!

LOL...isn't that the truth.

Mine bother me if they think I'm ignoring them.

Oh, don't buy those pet store treats. They are high in sugar and not good for them.

I probably wouldn't use treats until he's a little older. I use oats and Craisins, but they may upset his young tummy.

I agree with Laura, too many treats right now could upset his delicate digestive system. Once he is ready for treats, you might also give papaya tablets (I give my bunnies those and craisins).

Neutering is, from my experience, between $100 and $200. A lot of it depends on the vet you use and the area you live in.

I paid $212 for Baby's spay AND $212 for a neuter for a foster bun last spring. I love that vet, but I just can't pay that anymore.

I found the $60 vet and I love them. I've gone to them for lots of things and have never been over-charged. They're really good with the rabbits.

Our vet charges $190 for spaying. Our area is on the high end. We LOVE our vet and she's inexpensive compared to some of the other "exotic" vets around us.

There's an organization that Buck used that brokers out for low cost neutering. I've got the info written down SOMEWHERE. FreddysMom and I talked about it last summer at the BBQ.

If they eat out of your hand does that mean they trust you and are comfortable with you?:colors:
Yes, but if your rabbit won't eat from your hand, it doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't trust you. He may just be picky. :)

thats cool. Was just wondering. Atleast I get that from my 2. They will eat anything from my hands!!! AWWW:colors::colors:

I paid $80 for 2 neuters and a UTI test. :DAnd I paid $110 for Zoey's spay which was done by laser.

Had I gone with the vet I had planned to, it would have cost me $300.

A laser spay? Is that a new procedure?

Sorry picklezon...:threadhijacked

The laser prevents some bleeding and it decreases the size of the open wound after.

It seems to be a procedure that more and more vets are using. I know they have used it for feline declawing on a more increased basis over the recent years. Less pain, bleeding and swelling are being toted as the advantages over conventional procedures.

Continuing the hijack...

Laser surgery is available at my vet's office for spays. I had it done with Mocha, who was spayed by the surgeon specialist who works with bunnies some, but only on the surgery table. With Fey and Sprite, my regular diagnose-treat-AND-does-surgery vet said that although he's seen improvements using the laser on cats and dogs, rabbits have such thin skin that in his experience the healing time and blood loss and soreness is not significantly improved. He used a normal scalpel, and they actually healed faster than Mocha. Granted, they are different rabbits, but I trust his judgement on this.

I'm not saying don't do this. It's best to discuss this with your vet. Some may feel more comfortable using the laser, and there may be a difference in opinions of vets in the same office, as in mine.
