I am just wondering if the lady I bought her from was telling me the truth.

I know my rabbit is fat but now I'im noticing dewlaps on older does. Is there any way to tell a rabbit's age??

Here isa pic of Saffron please tell me if you think she is older than 9 months old.

I personally don't know how to tell a rabbit's age. Maybe take her to the vet and ask if they can tell you?

But I can tell you that girly bunnies can get dewlaps from a few months old - having a dewlap doesn't mean she's an 'older' bun, and she could quite easily be 9 months old. :)

You can sort of tell of rabbit's age by the thickness of their nails. That's about the only way I know to tell, and that's at an early age pretty much. The thicker they are, the older they are.;) (So, really thin nails, the younger they are, the longer and thicker they are, you talking mabe 2-3 years old.;) Also depends on the breed.)

Moolaps (for males) can develop anytime. I have amale holland that has one, its cute too!

that's great advice guys, thanks. I guess I could just be suspicious. I'm usually not that way, but it seems like everyone nowadays is trying to make a quick buck and sometimes it can be in a dishonest fashion.
