my bunny chewed a toddler sized fist in my yoga mat. I freaked out and read online to give him plenty of hay and water and nothing else. I did it for a day and he was totally fine but the second day I completely forgot I was out of greens. My husband usually puts the pellets in his bowl and did so that morning. That night he went out to get greens and got turnip greens which I know can cause gas. Its the third day and he’s still only on hay, pellets, and water since I had a full day of class and for personal reasons I couldn’t make it to the shop. Am I terrible? I fed him a little turnip greens and gave him a small chunk of banana each day.

Just hay and pellets is fine. No big deal. Just hay and greens is also fine. The only thing you never want to go without is hay. A rabbit can go several days without greens or pellets if he is getting plenty of hay. That's the one to always, always be sure you never run low.

The dude eats hay by the bale lol. Always has a rack stuffed :)

I always encourage extra water and hay after eating something naughty... but I disagree with your internet source; leafy green veggies help provide water, too, so I see no reason to cut them out. Rather than "hay, water and nothing else," I think better advice would be "just reduce or eliminate pellets for a couple days."

By day three, I really do think that either there would be signs of a problem or that whatever he ingested has already come out the other end. At this point, my recommendation is to go back to his normal diet (and to quit beating yourself up ;)).
