could do with some help please- Trio issue

Hi and thank you for letting me join. I have 3 rabbits, 2 females and a male, all spayed. the boy and girl were a bonded pair that I got as my other one's partner sadly died whilst being operated on. I kept them apart but within eyesight for weeks and then put them together in a strange place and they all seemed to get on fine. And they have done for about 6 months but now the original male and new female seem to have bonded and the other female gets chased off by the female ( she is big) . she is obviously the boss of the three but I just feel sorry for my little lady sitting on her own and want them to be happy. they live in a very large secure outside area that has tubes etc to run through and a very large heated shed so space isnt the issue. I love them all and just want it to be back as it was. The male is quite placid and gets on with them both but Mrs Big Female chases her off

Unfortunately this can be a problem with having trios. It takes the right match of personalities for a trio to work out. When the trio isn't meshing, really the only remedy is finding a bonded companion for the odd rabbit out.

If you still want to see if it can work out, here's some info on bonding trios and groups. Though just always be cautious watching for signs of escalating aggression, so you can intervene and/or permanently separate, before serious injuries can occur.

thank you, that was very helpful. not sure if I want to risk getting a rabbit for the little one as if they dont bond it would mean separating the run, which I didnt really want to do. Not sure what is the best thing to do now

thank you for your help. I was on the point of getting another rabbit but decided to try something first
Yesterday I took them out and put them in another shed and left them there all day ( but kept checking and spending time with them) they seemed to have bonded again and the dominant female was cuddling up and grooming both of the others. at the end of the day I put them back but kept them in their shed with the outside enclosure shut. I thought that being in a smaller area will help them all to re bond
so far, so good and hoping it works as don't really want to buy a 4th rabbit, as much as I love them that in itself may cause problems
