I am so happy :Dwow you are amazing!what a fantastic thing to do, love to you and cuddles keep us updatedand lets have some pics of your new addition to the family :highfive:

:DLOL Good to know the people on here have such patience!! LOL;)
I would have posted sooner but we shut the computer down so the noiseswouldn't upset Cuddles and it crashed on us this morning when westarted it up again!:?

So here is the update...we don't have any pics yet...we are going to wait till tomorrow to start bugging her!
She is a giant of a bunny...very thin...white with black markingsaround the face and chesnut brown on the rest of her body. Her one eye is very weepy...she was given a clean bill of health but itcould be her molars...she didn't have anything to chew other thanpellets really.
I read all her medical records and the surrender sheet...apparently shewas given up because the person had "major allergies" after 5years...she weighed 6 pounds at surrender and was listed as a "DutchLop" and was re-listed as a Giant Lop by the HS.

She was found to have Uterine Adeno-Carcinoma when they did thespay...they suspect that it has metastisized to her lungs due tolabored breathing...but I have noticed that bunns with big dewlaps dothis as well...and she has a nice size one!:)

She is very timid right now and looks so sad! She has made afew half hearted attempts to play with her new toys in her cage. (weare homing her in an exercise pen right now) She was in a cage the sizeof the one we use for Daphne...and I consider it a tight squeeze forher! So she is enjoying the extra room.

We are free feeding her to try to get some weight on her, and she isn'tused to veggies so we are introducing her to them too!:) Shedef loves her mommas bunny cookies! She munchs them up in notime flat...she is totally addicted to banana chips so we are stayingaway from those and introducing her to other types of yummies that area little better for her!:)

Basically she is such a gentle doll. I am booking a vetappointment tomorrow to get some normal values listed forher. Her medical records are being mailed but won't be herefor a week probably...so we aren't going to wait for those. We will forward them after they show up. I want our vet tocheck those teeth...if there is a problem then I want it fixed do wecan get some weight on her. She doesn't seem to have problemseating...she just seems very dainty...she nibbles!

Apparently she wasn't bonded but she had been housed in a seperate cagenext to another bunn for a long time. So I am of the opinionthat she is also suffering from the loss of her friend. So weare quarantining her for a week (strictnew bunny rule in thishouse!:)) and then we are going to see if she would be interested inanother friend.

We have decided to rename her too. We wanted to give her atotally new beginning! She doesn't answer or respond to herother name so we figured it would be OK. We decided that hernew name will be Princess Sophie.:D

OK...what the heck...here is one quick pic! Only one! No more till she settles in!:D

What a pretty game. Love the name.

She must be feeling better...I decided to crawlin the pen with her to brush her out a little and to just talk toher. What does she do????
She bit me in the a$$!:grumpy OUCH darn it!
Point taken! All things bunny are hers...apparently thatincludes the blankie my butt was parked on! At leastshe is feeling better! My poor butt!:nurse:

What a doll baby :bunnyheart

She is very lucky to have found you!

Aww, haha. My Max is the SAME way with hisblankies.. very territorial with them. And if people other than hismommy touch them,he'llmake thisadorablelittle "grr" "grr My blankie!!" if they mess with it.Ahh, buns, gotta love em :D. Max also did that when i firstadopted him and the best trick i found for coaxing him to warm up to mewas to save his treats mostly for when i came around/tried to pet him, etc.

:bunnybutt:

I'm thinking that it could be an incorrectdiagnosis or possibly exaggerated to get her adopted. maybe she's notas sick as everyone's thinking....or possibly a better vet could helpher.

Anyway I think that its great that she may be adopted!!

Her name has changed again slightly...we alwaysstart with one and as we talk to her and get to now her and herpersonality it changes a bit...Tony started calling her Sophie Love andit looks like it took! She responds to it...so I guess wehave a winner!:D

She has actually started to fill out really well! No moreskinny bunnies in this house!!:DShe has a bit of a tummy andI'm sure once she is out and running around she will fill out the restwith muscle! She seems very happy! Finally gettingthe hang of those darn toys too!:) She wasn't too sure whatthe cat grass I bought her was for...but she figured it out!She has even treated us to a few tooth purrs! So I think shewill be a much healthier happier girl now! She has alreadylost alot of the nervousness she had when we brought herhome! And she doesn't jump up when we enter the roomanymore...she will stay lying down all stretched out and wait forpets!:DAnd my goodness but she is a very tidygirl!!She always usesthe litterbox!! Nomesses, even the first day she was a good girl!:D

She is def a beautiful little girl! She just needs loads ofattention and some love! And if she does get sickagain...well we'll deal with that when it happens, but she will haveall the fun she can till then!!:D

Oh, aww, it's such a great thing you are doingfor this sweet girl. I just want to cry. She'sbeautiful, too.

I hope your vet can get a handle on any issues so she can spend a long time in your loving care.

This just melts my heart. I think you're awesome!

:great:
