Ok...so hubby finally brought the add home fromwork...as I said I haven't seen it just had it read to me...It saysnothing about having 3 months left...just says they aren't sure howmuch longer...here is what it says:
Hello, my name is Cuddles and I'm a 5-yearold, spayed female bunny. I came to the shelter a couple ofmonths ago and looked forward to meeting my new best friend.Unfortunately, the vets here diagnosed me with a medical condition andthey're not sure how much longer I have to live. I'd likesomeone to adopt me so that I can live out the rest of my days in awarm, loving environment where I will give you all the affection Ican.
The pic of her that is with the add shows amuch more subdued looking bun than the one on the web page.Still no word...Tony has agreed to drive us down tomorrow if we stillhaven't heard back by then.:? I must say they don't seem tobe overly anxious to place her.

Aww, Bless you both for giving this girl achance. I hope you can get things sorted - does seem strange that theyaren't making much of an effort to get her rehomed
OK...So I finally got a call back!!
Cuddles was turned into the THS and was found to have ovariancancer. They did a spay and think they have gotten it all,but she was having laboured breathing for a while. She has 2days left of medication and seems to be doing much better. Sowe have been invited to stop in to meet her tomorrow (It will be toolate today by the time we got there to really get to spend anytime withher!) They are unsure if she is OK now and will live out a happy lifeor if the cancer managed to spread before they caught it!
So Tony and I are going to take a wee jaunt to TO and see what she islike!(as far as I know there are no other applications out on her rightnow) So we will go meet her and see what this beautifullittle lady is like! We will have to do an interview so itwould most likely be next weekend before we brought her home!Wish us luck!!!
It's excellent that it's not something that you would have to be worried about your other buns not coming into contact with it.
Hopefully they have caught it, but even if she gets ill and she is withyou, at least she will spend the rest of her life in a loving home, which is far better than a rescue centre (no offence to rescue centresbecause they do a terrific job).
I talked to Jiha tonight again on the phone andshe sounds really nice. I get to talk to Amilia tomorrow andmeet our bunn girl...she says there have been no applications on her atall. She has been at the shelter since March and no one hasasked about her.Cuddles had X-rays done and theydon't show any problems inher lungs...but if there was cancerit wouldn't show for a while yet.
We are going in to see her at around 11 or 12 tomorrow!
She is 3.36kg...does anyone know what that is in pounds??:?
goodluck!!!!!! fingers, toes, legs and armscrossed that it all goes well! She looks like a darling and it is sowonderful of you to think about adopting her!:bunnydance:
