Ok I was wondering when I move my rabbits outside would they use something like this, It is just something for them to relax in and keep warm this particular one isn't what I'm looking for. But would this one be a good idea?

Anything else I could use It needs to keep the rabbit warm and last through wet weather?

Do you mean for this to be in the hutch or the run? The hutch should have a sleeping compartment, so something like this wouldn't really be needed, but if you mean for a separate run you will need a shelter for that. :)

Something like that can be very useful when they are out in an enclosed run but not as actual accomodation.
Looking at it again it may not even be that great in a run in our sort of climate. It's not raised of the ground or treated so it may rot rather quickly. It may just be more an indoor hidey hole

Could you suggest any other product that does what I'm looking for?

What is it exactly you are looking for? What do you want it to do? What do you want it for?

No that's only a shelter for the open run in case it rains or they just want a bit of privacy. They have their hutches as well. i think it's a very good price for this type of house considering that £ and euro are almost 1:1. I ordered mine from the Irish zooplus and I'm sure I paid way more.
What had you in mind using those shelters for? If it's for in a shed then it may not have to be that weather proof.
p.s. THERE IS A CHEAPER TYPE BUT NOT WEATHER PROOF. i FIND THE LINK IN A SEC

I actually just found a picture of one of their hutches. It has a raincover on it. i remember you asked me about those before. They are called hutchhugger and come in various sizes

Actually the other one seems much better value and had i spotted it was reduced I may have bought another of the one I showed you before

P.S. Just look at the price difference on the Irish site. Total rip off
Well what I want them for is shelter when the bunny is out of its hutch and running around in its play pen,So when It rains it has somewhere to stay dry, But because I will need atleast 5 the ones you adviced are out of my budget. We are starting to get the supplies for my outside rabbitary. I am making 5-6 stalls and I will rotate the bunnies so they will have free roam all day for one week then a week of me bring them into the house to play, but they would be living outside permantely all year. I have it all maped out hopefully my cousins won't get involved( because they normally butt in and ruin my plans) because if they do They will just make one large incloser and that will still only be able to hold one bun at a time.( My aunty threatened to kill baby Suvannah If we don't get rid of her:shock:,yesterday morning, I just ran out of the house to get to school. I will prob get 1 for the start and slowly get some more. Is the post and packaging dear on the site Sabine? Once I have finished my rabbitary I will hopefully get loads of pics and show you. Pray to god My cousins don't butt in and I build it my way. Because I have it all planned out for weeks now. I will have enough room for all my pet rabbits show rabbits.

I'm planning on putting them on each and every hutch so they will last longer outside, but I will just be buying a really strong plastic(is it ok If I just get some strong plastic from a garden centre?) and put it on the roof of the hutch?

It is possible to make them yourself. We made one out of a BBQ cover and the one over Raylann's hutch is a deck chair cover:)
I'll see if I have pictures.
Just be carefull when the sun shines. If you forget to lift them in the morning the buns can overheat and die of heat stroke. I may even take mine off in summer just in case.
Zooplus delivers for free if you order over 49 euro. I would advice to order from the UK site because of the good exchange rate. It all comes from Germany anyhow.

P.S. Why would you need five wooden cabins? Are you planning to have five seperate runs? You can always rotate them around.
I remember you said before you were going to keep them in a shed? Bying loads of individual hutches may work out rather dear. I'd say having something in a shed would work out cheaper

This is a picture of a makeshift hutch cover. We used a BBQ cover and cut windows into it and covered them with clear plastic (double glazing even:biggrin2:) All the other covers have insulation underneath the covers. Some have carpet and others bubble wrap type insulation

It's probably not the best picture as the cover is rolled up

I am interested if others have any suggestions and ideas for your housing

Paul, for the playpen you can buy covered cat litter trays without a cat flap. They work very well. You can also buy cheap tarpaulin or corrugated plastic and cover part of the run with it.

My dad made out hutch covers himself. I have written an article about how to weather proof, so if you want it PM me with your e-mail addy and I'll e-mail it to you.

P.S. Why does your aunt want to kill Savannah?:(

If your cousins are meddlesome maybe you should try and enlist someone else to help with the runs, someone who understands what you are doing.

Because I would have more then one rabbit. Yup that's the plan to have five seperate runs they would have the hutches in them and then a smaller wooden cabin so when it rains they can go into that,And then some area to run, so they will always get enough exercise. Yup I would have some in the shed and rotate them into the garden runs. Also It is to keep the rabbits happy not my pocket.
